Background - The Sons of Terra are a Renegade Chapter which have spent the majority of there existance on the far fringes of Imperial Controlled Space. With limited contact with the Imperium they have become highly independant and believe that the Imperium has strayed from the course the God-Emperor had set for them. To this end they no longer fight for the Astrates or the High Lords of Terra.
My army having been seperated from the imperial lifeline is now suffering from a lack of recruits. Being cut off from their homeworld they no longer have accses to the initiates they need to maintain full strenght. To compensate the Army's Tech engeneers have maintained a high number of Tarantula sentry guns. This is to bolster the defences and gun lines of the army without having to field all of the armies Marines in any one given arena.
Let me know what you think of the list, is there anywhere I could improve?

Did you mean to drop Vortex of Doom or drop the Might of the Ancients?
I'm fielding the Contemptor as a Close Combat unit, with close combat weapon and plasma cannon.
I agree that I'm lacking in Anti-tank weapons with my Tac Squads so will fish around for some Multi-melta's. Not sure I will need the vehicles to be honest as the games I'm playing are almost always city of death and the boards we use are usually densly populated with buildings. I could be wrong.
I've already got the Dev Squad so will be continuing to use them, but have removed the two Heavy Bolters in exchage for x2 extra Missile Launchers.
I've also bought a second Vindicator as per your suggestion.
Yep the name "Sons of Terra" is taken but there's next to no info on the Chapter, this alows me some creativity
@Sancrear - Terminator armour grants the Relentless USR, which makes Vortex quite usable for the librarian. Contemptor Dreadnoughts are completely different animals from the regular ones. Missile Batteries are also quite good, especially since they're immune to stunlock and won't all die to a single meltagun.
Multimelta's aren't a good choice for Tactical squads - it's a powerful weapon, but the short range requires it to be on a platform that can move around. I generally take Plasma Cannons or Lascannons on my tactical squads, depending on what the rest of the army looks like.
As for the Vindicators, I honestly suggest running them in groups of 3, or not at all. Experienced players will tear them apart quite fast, and the weak side armour means that they won't have too many problems doing it. I'd dump it entirely to get the points for some rhinos for your tactical squads.
That said, I'd ditch the terminator armour on the librarian, as terminator models aren't allowed to embark in rhinos or razorbacks, leaving him stuck running around the field on his own (and pretty easy to kill)

Librarian w/ Terminator Armour (Vortex of Doom/Avenger) 125pts
Still not 100% on this outfitting, so if needs changing let me know or give me the nod
Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought (Typhoon Missile Launcher, Plasma Cannon, Combat Arm w/Heavy Flamer) 230pts
Contemptor is being fielded as an agressive CC unit.
Tactical Squad (Flamer, Missile Launcher, Chainsword) 170pts
Standard tac squad, will be used in support with the 2 Vindicators.
Tactical Squad (Flamer, Multi-melta, Chainsword) 170pts
I decided to keep the Multi-melta as hes already painted lol but have given the unit a Rhino as you suggested giving them a platform, this will be my main objective capture unit.
Rhino (Storm Bolter) 35pts
Rhino used to zip across the field to an objective to unleash a tacsquad payload.

Taken a second Vindicator to increase their effectiveness as Im aware a single Vindicator will get targetted immediatly.
Tarantula Battery (x3 Heavy Bolters) 45pts
Kept the 3 Tarantulas however I now also have the multi melta turret to swap if need be at no extra cost.
Total = 1005
Points may be off a little but not that important as my firends are a lil flexible with these things.
