hi guys, ive just taken this list to throne of skulls at gwhq and it did pretty well so i thought id share it and see what improvements i could make
the night before the tourny was my first and only practice game vs space wolves which ended in a draw.
10 purifiers, 4 psycannons, 1 hammer
10 purifers, 4 psycannons, 1 hammer
10 GKSS, 2 psycannons, 1 halberd, 2 hammers
2 TLAC, psyflemen
1 vindicare assassin
generally coteaz and a unit of purifiers held my objective. the combination of sanctuary, cleansing flame and then power weapons provided me with a really difficult unit to shift.
the vindicare either went near to this unit for added protection, or up the highest building he could find
crowe was useless, except for when he "yoinked" vect with him when he died.
the GKSS was good, my main objective grabbers, but a little flimsy. im considering replacing them with a termy squad, and 7 acolytes with bolters for a 4th troops choice.
the dreds were fine, as recommended by nearly everyone.
i got a good selection of opponents, having most trouble oddly with orks, and dark eldar i think i surprised a lot of them by having no tanks.
HQ: Ditch Coteaz, you don't need him as you have no henchmen and purifiers shouldn't really need sanctuary as they are great in combat.
Troops: Add 5 halberds to each purifier unit. GKSS take 2PC 1Hammer and psybolts. With the points you save from the HQ a couple of rhinos for the troops will take a little heat off your dreads as the enemy has the choice of shooting purifier taxis or the dreads.
Heavy: Dreads are great.
Elites: OK but you could get 5 more purifiers with 2 PC for his points.

thanks for the reply, im definitley considering dropping coteaz, although the game where kairos landed right next to the unit was worth it
the vindicare has to stay hes been man of the match every game, and almost always makes his points back at least.
