Hello everyone I need some help on a competitive 1500 point tournament list that ive been working on. The tournament isn't until mid april but requirers a fully painted army and since I am new to grey knights I have't done much painting yet so I need to get my list wrote asap. So this is my list pre testing.
lord kalador draigo - 275
libarian w/ teleport homer, 3 psychic powers (might of tian, the summoning and warp rift) 180
10 paladins w/ 1st psycannon, sword, 2nd psycannon, halberd, 3rd psycannon, hammer, 4th master crafted psycannon, halberd, 5th halberd, 6th sword, 7th hammer, 8th warding stave, 9th brotherhood banner, 10th master crafted halberd - 685
5 paladins w/ 1st psycannon, halberd, 2nd psycannon, hammer, 3rd hammer, 4th halberd, 5th sword - 305
1 paladin w/ hammer - 55
the basic idae of the army is to sart with the 10 man squad on the table with draigo, the libarian and often the 5 man squad. Use the grand strategy to scout them as to get to the enemy faster. use psychic communion to hold the lone palidin of for as long as posible so he can come down and grad an objective, in none objective games drop him early to threaten enemy tanks. The teleport homer + summoning on the libarian is to help squads that scattered or mishaped and got placed by the ememy. The army also the option to split the 10 man and deepstrike the whole army, this could be a bit risky but will be necessary in some games.
so what do you all think, any advice is welcome.
First off the teleport homer will not work for using the summoning since it uses deepstrike not teleporting. There are plenty of threads in the GK section and the Rules Help sections discussing this so let's not go down that road here.
Drop Summoning for quickening or shrouding or sanctuary. If you dropped the librarian completely you could convert the lone paladin to 10 GKSS with 2 psycannon and a hammer. They would be more survivable and help your model count no end not to mention a good dose of extra firepower. Still the Psy defence offered by the second HQ does help but I think at 1500 points (and using such expensive troops) you need a decent model count so leave the libby until larger lists.
Also try if you can to mastercraft all paladin psycannon. On a 10 man unit you don't actually need every single model to be differently armed unless you are being wounded by 10 instant killing AP2 wounds from the same enemy unit. 4-6 unique models and the rest armed with psycannon should be fine.

Firstly, I agree with Mad Cat about the 10 man squad unique equipment.
But before I read that I was going to suggest that you have master crafted a halberd in the 10 man squad (10th man). I'm of the opinion that you should master craft the hammers over halberds in these large durable squads. This is because the advantage of going first in combat to increase your survivability is offset by the size and armor of the squad. So one reroll of a halberd strike isn't going to be as efficient as swapping that wepon for a MC hammer. i.e. the squad is already tough, so you are looking for ways to increase the punch it can deliver.
