Welcome to Librarium Online!
was playing around, and came up with this, I call it my goofball land raider spam. I know this is not a competive list, just something to play around with, but let me know what you think.
CC 5 man termie squad 3 TH/SS 2 TWLLC
land raider redeemer with multi-melta
5 man termie squad with H. flamer
Land Raider redeemer with multi-melta
2x 5 man scout squads, all armed with sniper rifles
3x Land Raider Redeemer with multi-melta
yeah I know 5 land raiders in one list is kinda crazy, but this is just a fun list....hehehe
just seeing the person on the other side of the table crap himself when you put out 5 land raiders, is almost fun enough. but push them forward as fast as you can and start flaming everything in sight is kinda scary too.
It looks fun, but it's really not that scary. Vulkan is not really taken advantage of here as the Flamestorm Cannons do not benefit from his Twin-linked rules. And in order to really do any damage you need to be really close to the enemy. My first Target would be the LRR that have the terminators in it then slowly move to the other targets. A few Melta shots into the LRRs and they will normally be scrapped and if you face any Lances you can kiss them goodbye.
The main tactic when facing your list will be to shoot and scoot away. If your opponent is meched up then you will have even more of an issue even getting to the squishy goodness that you will want to flame as the Multi-Meltas will most likely be the first guns taken off.
As a general rule, multiple Land Raiders are only scary if they still carry aggressive passengers. The survivability difference between a Land Raider and a Predator isn't great enough to justify the higher cost by itself. A Blood Angel could make it work with three full Assault Squads in Land Raiders. That's the best way I know to spam LRs.
How many opponents bring fewer than 8 meltagun-equivalents in a 2k list? Not many.

For me make two of the heavy support land raiders standard pattern so you can pop the enemy early on and roll up the board hitting other vehicles as you go.
Either way clever use of cover early is the key, also drive up full tilt first turn and pop smoke. Gives a reasonable survival chance against the enemies first shooting phase go will be looking to knock out those redeemed early.
I like the idea you're working here, if I had the cash I'd try something like that for a pre heresy / heresy ultramarine army.
This can work, just needs tweaking!
