    Help deciding a Tournament List 1850pts

    Hello LO, I need help deciding which tournament list to make. The lists are quite different; 1st list involves paladins and Inq. Henchmen, while 2nd revolves around Purgation squads and Purifiers. I think both lists could be effective, but seeing as they are a rough draft, I would like some other eyes to get ahold of them and see if there are any pitfalls or changes that should be made. All feedback is appreciated:

    List 1: 1848/1850
    HQ:
    Librarian - Warding Stave, Servo-Skull; MoT, Quick, Shrouding, Warp Rift - 210pts

    Basic Tactics:
    List 1: Terminators go in Redemeer and will be my hammer unit. Coteaz will go with Deathcults and advance with Paladins, Purifiers will take up middle ground and defend.
    List 2: 10man squad will Combat squad with 4x psycannons going in Razor, and the rest reserving with Crowe. Will Rhino rush to mid ground, will arrange rhinos into a wall that Purgation squads can hide behind and still be able to shoot regardless of LOS. List has 22 Psycannons 0.o...

    Let me know which army you think is the best and possibly ways to improve them, thanks abunch LO.

    List one looks the more powerful. Take a sword on a paladin for the 4+ save in combat and to help with wound allocation allowing you to mastercraft the other psycannon.

    List 2 I would max out on purifiers before turning to purgations chaps who arent fearless, have worse stats and pay double cost for each heavy weapon and of course cannot claim objectives.

    I agree with Mad Cat on list one, I do however think you should replace atleast 2 of the las/plas razors with TL Las, but that is just from personal experience... Also I would consider dropping the LR and taking a chimera on a Henchmen squad for the Paladins to steal, this will make sure any melta-sacrificial units your opponents have will only be taking out standard transports rather than a big chunk of your army... If you did this then also grab another dread, your list wont be making many friends, so why not go all out

    A few questions remain, I am not sure which paladin I should put a sword on? They have wound allocation as they are, and to still allow allocation between the non-psycannon paladins I would have to spend an extra 5pts to get the MC on at least 1-halberd. Also as we can see I have 55pts left to spend, any suggestions for that? Also, would it be better using a tooled-up Grand Master instead of a Librarian?

    In addition, I could remove the Librarian and take Lord Draigo and only have to free up 10pts; didn't know if they was something worth looking into.

    Ok here is what I would do...

    Paladin 1 - Hammer+SB
    Paladin 2 - Halberd+SB
    Paladin 3 - Halberd+MCPC
    Paladin 4 - MC Halberd+MCPC
    Paladin 5 - Sword+SB

    so thats 5pts - 50 to go

    +4 Psykers to Henchmen squad that will be giving up their chimera to paladins +3 Bolters on the acolytes..

    so thats 48pts - 7 to go

    +7 Searchlights on vehicles, these will be needed in DoW and against most Necron lists

    Just my take on it all

    Here is the next rendition, only a small change from your suggestions DeathPoke. Instead of giving the acolytes bolters, i forgoe the 3pts to give ALL my vehicles searchlights instead of just 7 of them.

    Im not sure that the dreads necessarily need them, also another little change I would make is to swap warp rift for sanctuary on the Libby, warp rift seems nice, but the AP- means it is rather lacking in the anti-tank department, and sanctuary can be used to hamper assualts against anything within 6", meaning if you are keeping all your vehicles tighly packed it may save them for an extra turn
