moving into IG for a little variation to the rest of the normal power armour players out there and have taken a liking to the jungle fighters out there so have drawn up a small army list that needs some critique. I already own a number of metal catachan models and the idea is to expand the list in the future and i already own 9 x painted PBS so i would like to include that regardless.
Primaris Psyker 70
PBS (9 psykers and minder) + Chimera (AC upgrade) 170
Vet Sqd + Harker (2 x flamer 1 x Hvy Flamer) 155
Vet Sqd + 3 melta Chimera (AC upgrade) 160
thats 750 on the nose and the idea would be to run either hacker or the melta vets around in a vendetta to seize and hold an objective and the rest to annoy, harass and kill whats left. i gather its not a lot of AT but should bear well against hordes and none power armoured foes. I'm after it being fun and fluffy but C+C would be good
It's a perfectly sound fun & fluff list. My only suggestion is to give Harker's squad grenade launchers instead of flamers. This gives them a lot of mobile, ranged firepower and would combine well with the Primaris' shooting power. Sniper rifles would also be good, so you can try for some PBS-debuffed pinning tests, but that can wait for bigger games. It's a waste to have both Harker and heavy weapons in the same unit.A better approach is to let the two Chimeras advance for objectives, with Harker running defense/support and the Vendetta acting as a long-range gunship. That keeps the Vendy away from special weapons and allows it to serve as a rescue craft.the idea would be to run either hacker or the melta vets around in a vendetta to seize and hold an objective
