This is my first army list for SM.
Libarian (codicier) (104 pts)
Fury of the ancients
Dreadnought (173 pts)
Venerable (Tank Hunters)
7 Marines (135 pts)
7 Marines (165 pts)
Vet w/ Power Fist, Plasma Pistol
6 Marines (90 pts)
5 Devastators (170 pts)
3 Missile Launchers
Preadtor Annihilator (163 pts)
The Librarian will go with the Second Squad (with hidden power fist).
The three squads will go in a triangle formation (non upgrade squad at the back). the front squads will shoot and if one is broken, the third squad will take its place (like in the film Zulu)
Any comments welcome
Not Bad for your first list.Looks good, but Fury is kind of mediocre. Just personal preference, but i think Might of heroes is a steal. Especially since this guy will see cc every game.Originally Posted by Evil SheepThe smoke launchers and extra armour aren't really necessary. This dread is kitted to stand back and shoot. And i think the points would be better spent getting: more shooty troops, buffing up your dev squad, or getting another predator.Originally Posted by Evil SheepNot bad, but a lascannon might suit you better.Originally Posted by Evil SheepYou want this squad maxed out at 10 guys. The multimelta conflicts with their role as your counter assault unit. I would move the pistol to the codicier, since it would cost the same amount of points, but on a BS 5 model. Or better yet, ditch it and buy another marine.Originally Posted by Evil SheepAdd plasma gun and lascannon.Originally Posted by Evil SheepGo all missle launchers, maybe add a few guys. Consider getting the "honor your wargear" trait. Then buy tankhunters upgrade for these guys. It's <almost> like having 23 point lascannons.Originally Posted by Evil SheepExcellent choice for shooty marines. Like the dread, you won't need the smokes or EA. Use the extra points for more marines.Originally Posted by Evil Sheep
EDIT: Didn't notice the storm bolter. It will be almost completely useless on the annihilator. You must attack the same unit with all of the pred's guns. Since you want it firing at other tanks most of the time, the bolter will do squat. Use the points on... more marines.
