    [1000] Space Marines - Tournament

    I'm going into a tournament on Wednesday and decided to run this list by the veterans in this fourm.

    So, what do you think?
    Ok, the Chaplin Looks a little expensive but he can stay. I would say, drop the master and get more marines. Ditch Krak Grenades, get Melta bombs.
    Add some Melta guns to the Bike Squad and a multi-melta to the attack bike. they should provide the tank busting force.
    Troops look fine but i would boost the scout squad to 6 or 7.
    The Devastators need to be maximised, at least 4x heavy weapons. 4 ML is best. Add a few more marines as well

    Ok. First of all, drop the Master.

    Add a melta gun in your rhino squad.

    Consider swapping the veteran sergeant in the bike squad's power fist for a power weapon, so that he too may enjoy the furious charge. On the other hand a power fist is good for being safer vs. wraithlords or dreadnoughts. Just consider it.

    And what is the plan for the scouts? Swap them for another squad similar to your rhino squad, using the points relieved by removing the master and the scouts.

    In your devastator squad you should have 4 missile launchers and 4 normal marines, this is definately the best combination.

    You have alarge bike bodyguard for your Chaplain I wouldnt bother with artificer, you have 3 wounds and your rosarius.

    Rhino's are Tin coffins of death, avoid like the plague. Put you troops on foot in cover with a big gun and carve them up via striking first for cover. The Sargeants good though.

    I see the scouts as filling the force org chart but they really are pointless, no sarge=no killing in cc.


    I would drop the rhino and the scouts to get annother tactical squad (small unfortunatly)

    If you dropped the master you could get a Dreadnought wth smoke and extra armour and still save 5pts.

    I dont know if I would bother with the devastators. You could get a 6 man tac squad with plasma gun and lascannon for that. In total these changes would put 2 lascannon in your army instead of pointless ML.

    See if you could squeeze melta guns onto the bikers or added anti tank punch, tough I wouldnt bother with a Multi melta on the Attack Bike.
