I choose not to do a amoured company army, I think its a bit too much army. Plus I liked all the units Imperial Guard already had.
i made this up just to see if it would work or not, i might use this or my other list.
HQ-junior officer with honorifica imperialis,
Lascannon team, two with CC and pistols-90
Troops-junior officer, lascannon team-55
Platoon1-Autocannon, grenade launcher-88
Platoon2-Autocannon, grenade launcher-88
Heavy Support- 2 leman russes, lascannon, heavy bolters-330
-basilisk, inderect fire-125
I got ratling because they would take down the strong stuff, like carnifexs and wraithlords.(I play them a lot) the troop work there way down on tank busters. While the tanks do the rest.
Is this a good playable list?
Best advice I can offer you right now is to go take another look at your codex, son (not trying to be condescending, I just took note of the age in your profile). Right now you don't have a legal army because you only have one command section with two infantry squads (though they're inaccurately labelled "platoons"). The infantry platoon is a single troop choice for the Imperial Guard, and they consist of a command section and two infantry squads. So if you use two platoons to satisfy the Troops requirement, you'd have two command sections (in addition to your Command HQ) and a minimum of four infantry squads. With the equipment used in your list, that would be like 400 points or so, plus your HQ and anything else you want to add. So in a 1,000 point list, you're not gonna fit two Lemans and a Bassie in it. Sorry bud. Take a little time to rework your numbers and your list, and I'll be glad to critique when you've got it legal and ready.
It's illegal, but I'll comment anyway.
Why do you have cc-weapon guys in your command squad wiht a lascannon? If you fire the lascannon they can't assault, and if they assault your lascannon can't fire. Best you ditch the ratlings, and switch your autocannons to rocket launchers. Get rid of the bassie and then use the spare points (along with the spare points from the now gone ratlings) to get you another infantry platoon. Get rid of the hellhound to, and with whatever points you have left beef out your new platoon with heavy & special weapons, and exchange your grenade launchers for plasma.
Thanks for telling me its illegal i get to fixing it right away and post it up as soon as possible.
