Well I was planning on having a game vs my friends chaos. I have 11 GK's, (2 with incinerators, 1 with Psycannon, 2 Justicars, rest GK's), 1 Inquisitor, 2 Familiars, 1 Sage, 1 Hierophant, 1 Mystic.
For a 500pt game I was thinking on two squads of GK's, one with 2 incinerators, 1 with Psycannon, and then a Shooty Inquistor Lord.
My friend usually uses 2 CSM squads, a Havoc sqaud and a chaos lord or something on a bike.
Any advice? Thanks.
Theres 2 things I would never advise....assaulty Inquisitors and GK with special weps...with the incinerator think of it like thise: a storm will have a chance to kill 2 at the most, plus the weapon, when you replace it with say a Incin. you lose 2 strength....TWO STRENGTH..and if the oppenent places them smart you wont hit many with an incinerator, psycannons are good: technically you keep the 2 strength but then again its the cost of one GK, 3 kills vs 4 kills....i never used a psycannon, so tell me how it works out.
I did the verus against basic troops....I think theres something in the Armory, sacred Insense or something i dont have my codex handy, that works on all chaos.

TAKE INCENSE! This stuff is great for assaulting chaos.Model up a brazier with some smoke out the top and permanently attach it to a GK.Ask your chaos buddy for a spare skull but don't tell him what its for.If you have a lot of friends who play chaos you should take this in every game,it's that good for the points.
Since you have the incinerator models and will probably be fielding them, give the incense to this unit's justicar and make this the larger of the two units.Incinerators are a bit lame against regular marines, but if you can get the charge off by outmaneuvering him,you have a chance to do some damage with them.Just be carefull that he can't pull all his casualties out of the front ranks leaving you out of charge range.
If he targets this unit with all his firepower, just keep pulling out SB armed GKs as you are getting closer to template range with every turn.
Gimmer is quite right, though.GKs are pretty much as good as they can get already. They don't need special weapons to lay down the beats, they need more bonestock GKs.

Okay, here's what I would personally play with those models.
HQ-Inquisitor lord w/ psycannon
-2 sages(call your mystic a sage)
-1 acolyte w/storm shield(tack a shield on your heirophant,maybe?)-118 pts
Troops-GK justicar,4 GK,1 psycannon-175pts
-GK justicar w/sacred incense,5 GK,2 incinerators-205 pts
Hold the inquisitor back as far as possible(36") and and assault his havocs. You might have a chance.
