    1500 Imperial Guard - Friendly Scenario List

    I will be playing a 1500 game against another totally mechanized imperial guard army. We will be playing the meat grinder scenario with me on one side of the board with bunkers. Watching him play before I believe his strategy is going to be have 2 russes and have lascannon sentinels lay down fire while all of his chimeras rush my line. Alright here is the 1500 point I think I will be using.

    Alright, before everyone jumps on me for having officers with power weapons and stormbolters let me explain my reasoning. When he inevitably reaches my lines with his chimeras I am going to have the 3 command squads move, fire with the stormbolters, and then bum rush whatever squad with all of the initiative 4 power weapon attacks. The powerfist on my senior officer I realize is probably totally useless, but when I make an army I like my leader to stand out and hes converted so he does stand out from the other officers. How does this list look for the scenario in mind?

    If your opponent Is playing fully mechanised I'd start with giving your stormies two meltas for popping russes or whatever heavy tanks he brings, I'd drop the GL's they are the WORST support weapons plasma rules!
    I'd maybe try and fit In another vet squad with three meltas for DS great fun and they can work to devastating effect, another option would be to take one of the command sqauds and give them 4 x meltas for similar effect
    Not a bad list overall a demolisher would be nice for the strength 10 to annihilate his LR's

    Yea hate to say it but I'm limited on models The only melta I have right now is on the stormies. Besides the fact I don't have enough plasma infantry to switch all the grenades out, I really like grenade launchers and they always do me well. Thanks for the input though Maybe I will make some points and switch in a demolisher. I think I am going to take out all the voxes and lascannon sentinel for a hellhound.
