just takes some common sense i guess....
It's harder to read when you capitalize the last letter of a sentence instead of the first. Also, some things (i.e. Plasma Gun=PG, Close Combat Weapon=CCW, Heavy Bolter=H are easy to read, while others - Leman Russ Battle Tank=LRBT - are harder to read, since they are a long(er) string of letters and are similar to other things (Leman Russ Demolisher Tank=LRDT).Originally Posted by hardcastle
As for your list... Solid, but you lack mobility you'll need to claim objectives. Maybe a sentinel or an armoured fist squad will be good.
Also, you only have 2 lascannons in your list. I go with 3 + 1 in a tank for my 1000 point list.
As for your heavy support, your tanks are good, but why the tri-heavy bolters on the demolisher? one of the best parts about that tank is that you can take a ridiculous amount of anti tank/MEQ firepower, even after the turret is destroyed. I think you should either take just the hull heavy bolter to save points, or max out the firepower and force your opponent to destroy the tank. You might have to take the Demolisher out to get points to spend on some mobile units.
First the capital "d" is from me holding shift to get the "?" mark at the end of the question but pressing it to fast.Originally Posted by sgt screwball

as for the demolisher.... mainly to save points, i dont think ill be firing the sponsors to often, unless the cannon does get destroyed, and the odds of that happening are slim, and i think taking the h.bolters which is cheaper and will kill just as many marines as 3 ap 2 weapons. but taking out the sponsors is a good idea. and a good way to cut costs.
and as for the LRBT short cut, i thought since it was listed under HEAVY SUPPORT people would of caught on, and then the LRDT being the demolisher..... well u get the idea. next time i post a army ill scrap the short cuts
some people dont know these abbreviations, i even dont know some
I'm not sure if you have the models, but I prefer another LRBT or Bassilisk vs the Demolisher as a second tank, my Demolisher is my "third" tank. Ignore this advice if you are playing on a 4 x 4 board vs 4 x 6. I also like the Lascannon and sponson Plasma Cannons for range as well as AP2. Many times your 24" main gun is not in range, but the other Plasma Cannons are.
I would also like a couple of more Lascannons, but otherwise not a bad list.
