3000 point super powergame drop pod assult

    Epistolary - 169
    terminator armour
    FoTD
    FoTA
    storm bolter
    force weapon

    5 TErmy command squad - 240
    2 assult cannons

    8 tactical squad - 200
    vet sarge
    powerfist
    teleport homer
    2 meltaguns
    drop pod

    (three of these squads)

    6 tactical squad - 140
    2 plasma guns
    drop pod
    (2 of these squads)

    3 LSTs - 240

    5 shooty bikes - 230
    2plasma guns
    attack bike

    10 assult squad - 250
    2 PP
    vet with PF

    Reclusiarch - 121
    BP
    termie honours
    jump pack

    8 devastators
    4 missle launchers
    (2 of these squads)

    Dreadnaught - 140
    extra armour
    drop pod

    (2 of these)

    10 scouts with sniper rifles - 180

This amounts to 3000 points what do you think?2 of the assult tacticals with drop behind the enemy of the left with the 2 dreadnaughts dropping near them. the three LSTs will deep strike behind cover on the left and then pop out and zoom to the front of the enemy on the left to pincer with the tacticals and dreadnaughts. one devastator squad will set up on the left side with one on the right for diagonal views that make an X just in front of the enemy. the scouts will set up in between (though ahead) of these 2. 1 of the assult tacticals and the 2 plasma squads will drop in front of the enemy on the right. the librarian and his terminators will teleport behind the enemy on the right to perform a pincer with the tactical squads. the bikes will drive up to the tactical squads on the right to more shooting power. the chaplain and his assult squad will move up to between the bikes and LSTs to assult. Also the seven drop pods will have 14 BS 2 storm bolters that will fire as well. i think that i've got everything covered so how do you think it will do.

    This should be interesting.

    Epistolary - 169
    terminator armour
    FoTD
    FoTA
    storm bolter
    force weapon
This guy is only 159 pts. Otherwise, he's fine. Personally, I would use might of heroes over Fury of the Ancients, because our HQs are the best close combat units we have, and they need the extra attacks.

    5 Termy command squad - 240
    2 assult cannons
I would only drop this to 4 men and put them in a drop pod. If you choose to have Fury of the Ancients on the Librarian, the drop pod will benefit you.

    Reclusiarch - 121
    BP
    termie honours
    jump pack
    Perfect.

    Dreadnaught - 140
    extra armour
    drop pod
    (2 of these)
These are fine as they are.

    10 scouts with sniper rifles - 180
Ok, seriously, drop these. They are going to do squat in a 3k game, and your opponent only needs to DS a LST to screw them. Invest the points in a Venerable dreadnought with TLLC, ML, Extra armour, tank hunters, for 170 pts.

    8 tactical squad - 200
    vet sarge
    powerfist
    teleport homer
    2 meltaguns
    drop pod
    (three of these squads)
Just drop the Telehomer, Termies are too valuable to risk being killed in DSing, that's why they need drop pods.

    6 tactical squad - 140
    2 plasma guns
    drop pod
    (2 of these squads)
In 3k, these aren't going to do you much good. Go with a 6 or 7 man squad w/ pgun and pcannon.

    5 shooty bikes - 230
    2plasma guns
    attack bike
In 3000 pts (and also in powergamer lists), bike squads need to be kitted out to the max. Make it 5 bikes, 2 meltaguns, a veteran sergeant w/ powerfist, and an attack bike with a multi-melta. This way, you can easily kill 5 Space Marines a turn.

    3 LSTs - 240
No need to comment on these...

    10 assult squad - 250
    2 PP
    vet with PF
    It's 260 pts.

    8 devastators
    4 missle launchers
    (2 of these squads)
    Good for 3k.

Good list, my suggestions and improvements are meant for making it purely hardcore powergamer, and it isn't that cheesy, either.

In a 3000 point game, you can count on your ally having some of the most bad ass assualt units possible, at 300 id load up a landraider with termines inside and truck them around just for sport. Any isolated drop pods will come under 2x the fire and probably an assault, but if you can catch them while they are in transports youve got a chance. You have no heavy armour, which means you enemy will be blasting his AT weapons into your termies. Your scanners are a waste of points. You cant use them if the termies come in the second turn anyway. Of course if all goes to plan, and you get at least half your force to come in on the second turn, ull probably win. I agree with almost everything ezekiel said accept, about the troops, while the 2x plasmas might have a tendancy to explode, Oh man are they ever fun. 8x plasma shots into a squad with 2+ saves, so awsome. The snipers just need a missle lancher to be effective, but the other dread might be even better. good hunting

To do some ultimate powergaming, drop the assault marines and the bikes for some real nasty ****: YOu know what 3 LST can do? Try 9 of them. Nobody told you? 3 Squadrons tend to make a mess of your opponents line. Just buss them all in next to eachother and direct all their fire on the same units. 36 Strenght 6 AP 4 Rending bullets searing in the air kind of hurts everything you see.

If that's not powergaming, I don't know it either ^_^
btw, add the max 3 Devastator Missile squads and stuff. Thats 1320 points of scary speeders. If that's not enough to do the trick, you have 1680 points of serious powergaming left unspend.

Don't use scouts. And come in nummers. You have a lot of damnhardhitting units already, now you need the casualties ^_^
