    2000 point radical army needs major help!!

    It's not quite 2000 points so I need some ideas of what to add. I have IG and Sisters that I cal ally with. I guess I could also get my hands on some marines, it all depends on the reccomendations I get.

    Inquisitor lord- 120 pts
    -psycannon
    -null rod
    -icon of the just
    Retinue- 186 pts
    -2x veterans with plasma guns
    -Gun servitor w/ plasma cannon
    -3x acolytes w/ PA, Plasma pistol
    -2x Sage
    -2x Mystic

    3x Daemon hosts- 255pts

    3x Death-cult Assassins- 120pts

    Callidus Assassin- 120pts

    10x IST- 223pts
    -vet w/ melta bombs
    -2x melta guns
    -chimera w/ Smoke, Multi laser, Hull HB

    10x IST- 233pts
    -vet w/ melta bombs
    -2x Plasma guns
    -chimera w/ Smoke, Heavy flamer, Hull HB

    1257 points total (I might be wromg on some points values; I added everything up in my head.)


    Thats all I have for now. Can I use a GK Dreadnought in this army since it doens't have the Grey Knights special rule (at least I think it doesn't)? So should I add some shooty guard, some fiery sisters, or some versitile marines?

    Make this either an assault unit or a fire support unit, I cannot stress this enough. Right now, you have the Inquisitor equipped as an assault guy while the rest of the retinue is shooty. If you are trying to go for a shooty unit (which I think you are) you should drop the null rod and icon. I would get rid of the plasma guns in favor of heavy bolter servitors, they have better range and everything. The acolytes are actually illegal, you have almost twice the amount of wargear allowed. Besides, those pistols don't have the range you want in a shooty unit. If you want to keep them for the wounds, either keep the PA or get artificer armor instead.

    3x Death-cult Assassins- 120pts
    These girls are very delicate, be careful how you use them.

    10x IST- 223pts
    -vet w/ melta bombs
    -2x melta guns
    -chimera w/ Smoke, Multi laser, Hull HB
    first off, you can't charge immediately after you get out of a vehicle that's not a Land Raider, so the meltabombs are almost certainly going to be useless. If you are only getting the vet. for the meltabombs, drop it to save points. As for the Chimera, It won't be in a position to fire its weapons if it's moving its maximum range (which it should be) You would be better off with the Rhino for the lower points cost, higher side armor, (which will come in handy) and, most importantly, the two fire points. This last item means that they can destroy tanks without getting out of the transport. And, whatever you get, you should always put smoke and extra armor on all your vehicles.

    -chimera w/ Smoke, Heavy flamer, Hull HB
    Same advice with the vet. and meltabombs as above. With this Chimera, it's transporting a fire support squad which means that you don't want it near the enemy. This means keeping it at a distance and outfitting the Chimera with comparable weaponry. This means that flamer templates are BAD. They are to short ranged to be effective. Instead get either a multilaser or heavy bolter.

    For some reason I thought plasma guns were only 5 points... I guess I'll fit those Acolytes with Artificer armor instead. The only reason why I put in chimeras is because thats all I have for transports right now. Eventually I get rhinos and take out the chimeras. I had the null rod on the inquisitor because I thought it woul dbe usefull to nullify all psychic abilities, maybe I was wrong. The melta bombs and veteran are gone as well. Any ideas on what army I should induct or ally?

    Depends whether or not you want to stay almost completely shooty or get some CC punch. As it stands now, I think you should be going for extra cc, those assassins, while good, can't last alone forever. A squad or 2 of Seraphim might do you well. Also, you might be able to get some Deathwatch marines, although I'm not sure about the rules and the fighting with demons situation. If you manage to get a copy of the rules or have them already, they could provide a decent mix of cc and shooting.

    Coo. I guess my advice will come too late, but the Blood Angels would be cool to induct, being the biggest CC this side of the imperium!

    This isn't that bad of an idea. you would have to hav ethe army book of course and the appropriate models, but it could work if you're willing to put up with the BA's quirks.

    These guys would probably be better off mounted in a Rhino, higher side armour and the 2 fire points would really help you out.

    I'm not sure how these would work out, I don't really know how good battle sisters are. My thoughts are that you should drop both of these squads in favor of another seraphim squad and some anti-tank.

    I could put in some more anti tank but what? I can't put in more seraphim since only 1 fast attack is alowed for allying. The only thing I can think of for more anti tank is either dropping the HF in the sister squads and replacing them with a Multi Melta and mounting them in a rhino. Or I could use more IST.

    Well, sisters are pretty much just I.S.T with power armour and bolters. (seriously there stats are the same).

    They can be quite devestating though, especially if they max out on flamers, and use that faith thing that makes all their weapons rending, ouch. My grey knights were feeling that all the way back to Titan. (I've played against them before).
