    Ultimate Drop Troops V2.0, 1750

After my last Drop troop list, I felt it was a little week and I wanted a re-design. I want to add some squads that don't deep strike, but start off with some long ranged fire-power. It incorporates my Grey Knights. I could actually do virtually the same list as a Demonhunter army with inducted Guard, but doing it as a Guard list gives me more flexibility. Please critique with your usual thorough and contructive advice. I thought I would take a Bassie as well with recommended Improved Comms

    Doctorines:
    Stormtroopers
    Drop Troops
    Close Order Drill.

HQ: IG ( Deep Strike Flaming Death) 58pts
    JO, Bolter, Three Flamers

HQ: Deamonhunter ( Ya, we Bad ) 385pts
Grey Knight Grand Master and 5 Terminator Retinue, Teleport Homer, Hammerhand

    Elites:
Stormtrooper Squad (Objective Taker, or Tank Buster) 131pts
10 troops, Vet Sgt, Power Weapon, two Melta Guns

Stormtrooper Squad (Heavy Troop Killer) 131pts
10 troops, Vet Sgt, Power Weapon, two Plasma

    Stormtrooper Squad (Suicide) Meltas 80pts
    5 troops, two Meltas

    Troops:
Command Squad ( Heavy Troop Killer) 80pts
    JO, Bolter, Three Plasmas

    (Tank/MC Killers) 91 pts x 2
2 Squads, Each w/Lascannon and Vet Sgt, Do not Deep Strike

    Command Squad ( Tank Buster ) 90pts
    JO + three Meltas

    (Tank/MC Killers) 91 pts x 2
2 Squads, Each w/Lascannon and Vet Sgt, Do not Deep Strike

    Fast Attack:
    Grey Knight Fast Attack 300pts
10 Grey Knight, Justicar, Teleport Homer, Frag Grenades

    Heavy Support: 148pts
    Basilisk, Improved Comms, Indirect, Smoke.

    What do you think?

Any chance we could get the point totals for each unit, as usual for most lists, Diggum? It would help, since I'd like to see just how many points the Grey Knights are costing.

As far as suggestions go, as I pointed out in another thread, Hardened Veteran squads with Carapace Armor cost about the same as a full deep striking storm trooper squad, and come with an additional special weapon.

    Good point. Edited!

You can take Grey Knights as per the Deamonhunter Codex. Same with Witchhunters.

I thought it was an interesting idea, combine the shooty of IG and there long range fire support, with the Brute force and CC ability of Grey Knights. Because Grey Knights DS, it is a perfect addition to an IG drop trooping army. We'll see how well it plays. I have played it a couple of times with pretty good success. Damn though, I am not used to 300pt squads LOL.

Correct me If I'm wrong, but wouldn't taking Hardened Vets w/ Carapace Armor mean the rest of his army has to take Carapace Armor; Pg 57 in the codex under Special Equipment. I agree that Hardened Vets with Carapace Armor would be much better for this list, but it would not be good for the rest of his list IMO.

Daemonhunters codex page 21. Under "Using Daemonhunters as allies". It gives you the rules to use daemonhunters in conjunction with other imperial forces.
