I've been using a custom chapter with the same traits for a while now and this is the first write up of a drop-version of it; I tried to incorporate some advice I found by searching older lists.
Advantages: Take the Fight to Them, Blessed be the Warriors
Disadvantages: Aspire to Glory
HQ - Codicier, pistol, force weapon, fear of darkness
+ Com Squad, plasma gun, bolters, drop pod 221
Troops - 3 x  Tactical, c/c & pistols, melta, vet, fist, drop pod 570
3 x Tactical, bolters, plasma gun, drop pod 480
Elite -  Terminators, 2xAssault Cannon 240
 Assault Squad, 2xplas pistol, vet, fist, furious charge 290
Fast Attack - 3 x multi melta speeder 195
Total = 1996
Im trying to work within only the traits/disadvantages listed, and my brand of religious fanatics seldom leave home without an elite assault squad.
Use torados instead of meltas, much better for the the points, and can still take down tanks, also, you have 3 excellent tank hunting units as it is, in the tactical squads with drop pod. Tanks will become points sinks for your enemy, the danger will be hord armies, like orcs, in which they will out number and assault you, hence the skimmers, they can take down a rediculous number of units.
Honestly your list look sgreat. Every time I watch an entire drop pod army I am impressed. But I would also say switch the speeders to AC & HB tornadoes. On the drop, the easiest thing for your tactical squads to do, especially with the 2" disembark move, is get the side or rear armor of a tank with that melta. The AC can do anti tank in a pinch, but honestly I doubt youll need it very often. Most of the time, they will support your podding soldiers as they come in so they arent overwhelemed.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
Thanks for the advice. I think 3 cannon speeders is a good change since the melta guns should be reasonably effective if I can get a rear/side shot. An easy add too if I just clip one marine from each of the bolter squads... and I don't actually have 3 melta speeders either
