Not bad at all for a first list, great unit structure, here's my comments.
1) Do not have 2 HQs in under 1k. The general rule to follow is 1 HQ per thousand points.
2) Termies are very risky in 1k, two plasma cannons will end your fun.
3) I suggest a drop pod for the termies, that way all your deep strikers are safe.
4) Drop the apothecary in the command squad. His abilities only work in the shooting phase, and your squad is basically built for assault.
5) When you get available funds, replace the missile launcher and heavy bolter with Lascannons. HBs and MLS are meant for Devastator squads.
6) We tactics freaks at LO generally suggest using Land Speeder Tornados in smaller games, their assault cannons and maneuverability will help immensly.
Yea ezek pretty much sumed it up for ya, but one other think, dont forget terminator honnors on your HQs. (unless they actually have terminator armour) Consider some traits, dont go overboard, they are better used in moderation, especailly in 1000 points games, and with new players. I dont know how much you have in the way of models, but a few more marines might be nice, plus a dreadnought and some landspeeders, if you where wondering what to buy next. Also those command squads are pretty especsive, picking up an assault squad, 2 plsama Pistols, sargent with fist + BP, Maybe a trait that gives you furious charge.
Good job not mixing CC models with assaulty models, Most players make this mistake, well done.
ITs my personal opnion that you should never take termies in 1000 points, their WAYYYYY so slow to do anything unless their put into a LR. drop the termies and the termie leader, drop the apothacary, cant really do anything. keep the Reclusarch, and his squad, but use the laftover termie points to get at least 3 more marines for each of your squads, if not 5. just remember that the maries are the best and most well rounded basic troops in the game, theirs no shame in taking 24-30 even in 1000 points, their the meat of your army. any points left over use to get a dread or mabye even a whirlwind depending on who your playing
maybe try adding bikes... i quite a fan of bikes... i usually try to have 1 full squad...
like everyone else said about the terminators...
it is good to have an idea of what squad is doing what... basically their role... helps when making a squad... like what OblivionAngel stated, try to increase your squad size... a good number would help reduce your chance of being outnumbered...
i dont know about you, but i sometime have a 5 men sniper squad with a heavy bolter would be fun... especially if you manage to pin squads...
I actually find terminators can be quite useful in these games, if used effectively and you can avoid your enemies main guns. I used a squad of terminators recently to destroy a raptor squad and a vindicator and still remain strong enough to count as victory points for me at the end. However, they are alot of points in one place, so I think terminators are down to personal preference. Land speeders are great, completely and utterly great, and with their speed can tear apart small points armies.
I personally am I fan or the whirlwind because of its low points cost, and it can cause havoc amongst poorly armoured foe in low points matches.
No problem here. Generally people like to stay away from terminators in low point battles due to how many points they take up. Still, they can often throw unprepared oponents for a loop. The squad is built right, should work well.Originally Posted by jma037
Generally, Librariens are your best bet for terminator command squads. Their psychic powers make good use of the terminators deepstrike ability. Especially FotA and FotD.I would drop this whole thing. First off, 2 hq's is 1 too many at such a low point value. You need these points to build a properlly supported army. Personally I like the other HQ and squad better then this one.Originally Posted by jma037No problem here. Lascannon would probably work out better for you due to the extended range unless you need to deal with deepstriking units.Originally Posted by jma037Missile launcher should DEFINATELY be a lascannon instead. Fine aside from that.Originally Posted by jma037Between its lower range and what it is generally used for, the heavy bolter isnt a great idea here. Lascannon again would be best. Its always a good idea to have 2 lascannons lying around. Helps deal with any vehicles right away and lets you knock out heavy troops once the vehicles are gone.Originally Posted by jma037
Once you drop the second HQ choice, youll have some more free points. Take a look at my sig. Those are the 3 best bets for people starting armies. They perform very well, and more importantly, you will never regret buying those pieces due to how useful they are.

Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
