    I am having a 1000pt game against orks and came up with this list.

    I hate replying to my own topic but can anyone help me out on this? I'm sure someone has had experience with Orks!

    To hurt Orks.. Its giving my secrets away.

    Hvy Bolters against troop heavy Orks

    Missile lauchers are good. for trukks and tightly packed troops.

    Hell hound is a fear for troop heavy squads.

    Lasconnan on Hull mount should be hvy bolter if you want to use the Russ as fire support
    9 hvy bolter shots.

    Otherwise good. My toughest run was against a army much like this. Except no Chimeria and armoured fists, but deep striking storm troopers

    For your tank and chimera, Extra Armour and Track Guards are a waste of points in my opinion.
    Not sure about the melta too, if you let orks get within 12" you'll be in for a tough time. I'd prefer a grenade launcher or plasma gun to be honest.

    Grey knights should fair well against orks. use them to hurt the Nobs. Nobs are just nasty and will chew through your guardsmen if left unchecked.

    Your HQ is odd too, the Heroic senior officer takes up a different HQ slot along with his own bodyguard. not the same one as the inquiz

    So yea. Heavy bolters are the gun of choise here.

    Drop the inquisitor and all of his crap- take another squad because it will be much more effective and you'll need the extra bodies. For a 1000 point battle, IG should have 70+ bodies minimum, unless you're going mech infantry.
