    [1500] Librarian instead of Chaplain

    Epistolary-190
Bolt Pistol, Force Weapon, Terminator Honors, Jump Pack, Familiar, Combat Shield
Fury of the Ancients, Veil of time

    5x Terminators-240
    2 Assault Cannons

    10x Tac Marines-190
Plasma Gun Vet Serg w/ Bolt Pistol & Power Fist

    10x Tac Marines-190
Plasma Gun Vet Serg w/ Bolt Pistol & Power Fist

    10x Assault Marines-270
2 Plasma Pistols Vet Serg w/ Plasma Pistol & Power Fist

    2x Attack Bikes-130
    2 Multi-Melta

    10x Dev Marines-290
    4 LasCannons

Again, trying to keep squads at 10 for fluff reasons, but I'm looking for something different in my HQ rather than the obligatory 122pt Chappy. The dev squad is a little on the pricey side, but I think it could certainly make its points back, and the Attack Bikes give me a little more anti-tank thats harder to kill than LST

Fury of the ancients is to expenisve, downgrade this to a normal librarian, 2 wounds, and only take viel of time. Honestly though, this guy is 50 points more, once you change him, and half as good as the chaplain. He also needs frag grenades...!

    5x Terminators-240
    2 Assault Cannons
Ok i guess, are you planning to foot slog otherwise you need a drop pod
    10x Tac Marines-190
Plasma Gun Vet Serg w/ Bolt Pistol & Power Fist
You better play on a small board, or with 12" deployment zones, if your foot slugging these dudes. Exchance the plsama for melta.
    10x Tac Marines-190
Plasma Gun Vet Serg w/ Bolt Pistol & Power Fist
    Same as above
    10x Assault Marines-270
2 Plasma Pistols Vet Serg w/ Plasma Pistol & Power Fist
    Pretty good.
    2x Attack Bikes-130
    2 Multi-Melta
You have to much anti tank, you need more anti ifantry, take tornados instead. or change the devs

    10x Dev Marines-290
    4 LasCannons
With these dudes you really dont need the attack bikes.

Id rate this list a 6 of 10. Needs quite a bit of work to be a tourney list. Desent friendly list, but honor your models at a tourney, with strong units.

yeah, it isnt a great tourney list, but not for the reasons you pointed out. The Terminators basically have shots for 5 of the 6 rounds, so all a drop-pod does is decrease their damage output. The lascannons on the devs are more for things like wraithlords and carnifex (which show up ALOT at the tournies I play in) ML just dont cut it against those guys. The tac squads are intended to stand & shoot rather than advance, and the PF is in there to discourage assault units like Berzerks (not that that will stop them ). fury of the ancients is fine for 9 pts, and the list is 1500 exactly so no room for frag grenades. besides if a character is sitting in cover I dont need to go after him that badly. I agree that the chaplain is better, I'm just tired of playing him every time.

Really it comes down to me having minor OCD when building my armies and I find it's almost paiunful to play with anything other than 10 man squads (excepting termies that is). so my goal is always to find a list that is competitve and that I can stand playing. Luckily I'm good enough that it usually doesnt matter.
