okai, my friends and i had a battle, it was 2000 points split between, my Black Templars/sisters, ultramarines, and tau vs. 2000 of eldar and dark eldar. Although, we won, it was too close, and too costly. If it wasnt for my Super Marshall and his 4+ invulnerable that stalled the wych lord and the wyches for 3 turns, we would have lost that mission, because of the wych lord and 2+ invulnerable. So, i found out, i dont really need a 200point marshall at all, my Emperor Champion is better at killing things that my marshall, and much less costly. So, new plan to counter the Xeno threat: Call in the inquisition. I want to keep him as cheap as possible. As much assault power as possible, also. I also want some form of bolt weapon equiped with psycannon bolts to fight the 2+ invulnerable. Final note, no psychic power cuz of Black Templar's rule
Ok, I think it might have been a better idea to post this in the space marine forum. But anyway, about your post, I am not too sure on the rules of the Black Templars, but if they say "no psykers as allies" then you cannot take an Inquisitor, even if you leave him without any powers (as he is still considered to be a psyker). IF you can take an inquisitor, take a DH inquisitor as he(or she, I suppose) can wield a psycannon.

No, no Inquisitor for you.
Seriously... Black Templars cannot take an Inquisitor. Inquisitors are Psykers, with or without psychic powers (stupid I know, but its the rules) and Black Templars cannot take any form of Psyker. Sorry, its the rules.
