Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is my first attempt at making a SM list. I have the codex and I am not really familiar with the ins and outs of the various off-shoot chapters, such as Blood Angels, B-Templars and the like so this is really just a generic marine list. I also have a few questions regarding wargear. I will start with my questions first.
Could someone explain to me the hidden power fist?
Also regarding the power fist, according to the codex your power fist wearer must have terminator armor. I have played several games against SMurfs with my nids and have never noticed my opponent rolling for 2+ saves for models with said power fist. Are they just forgetting or is there a seperate roll?
Ok and now onto my list, might be a few points off cuz I don't have my codex with me.
Master of Sanctity w/ Command Squad
x5 Terminator Assault Squad (2 w/thunder hammer/shield, 3 w/lightning claws)
8x SM (1 plasma gun) + Sergeant (9 man squad)
8x SM (1 plasma gun) + Sergeant
10 Man Assault squad (Sergeant has Terminator Honours)
Predator (Lascannon and sponson H
This is my first SMurf list so don't be too harsh on me.
First, wrong section. At the top is where armylists go.
As to your question of hidden powerfists, it is a powerfisted vet sarge and the reason it is called "hidden" is that in combat, when you take casualties you can remove other members of the squad instead of the powerfisted member in order for you to get that last hit in with the powerfist.
For your speeders consider taking the HB/AC loadout. This is the overall good loadout preferred by most of us. It can both damage tanks and mow down tons of infantry.
For your assault squad, are you taking plasma pistols or flamers? Remember that 2 members (+ the sarge) can have either. My recommendation is plasma, unless you know you need flamers to vs. a certain enemy.
Depending on what you want to do with the Termie Assault Squad, you might want to consider changing it to a regular Termie squad. Equipping the regular Termie squad with 2 AC's is a deadly thing. If you want to keep the Termie Assault squad, consider changing your hq to a Chappie and attaching him to that squad.
What do you want to do with your Command Squad? I personally forgo the command squad and just use a Chappie running around with my assault squads.
Tell us your general plan for your army i.e. a deepstriking army, a sit back and shoot, etc. This will help us to figure out what tweaks you need most.
Hidden powerfists are where a vet. sergeant has a power fist to give the squad (usually tactical) a nasty surprise for anyone who charges it.
As for terminators, you are reading it the wrong way, marines can have every upgrade the amoury allow, terminators can on have items with the 'T'
As for the list, frop a dreadnaught for another teactical squad.
Give the chaplin a jump pack and throw him in an assault squad with a hidden power fist.
If you have enough points spare I would invest in a whirlwind.
Hope this helps.
*edit* damn it, gamesondemand got here first!
its the first time i have posted anything myself....is there any way to move it to the army list page?
The Master of Sanctity will be way more efective with a Jump Pack and joining the Assault Marines with his ability to have the whole squad re-roll misses when charging.
A regular Terminator squad with dual AC is better than the assault termies unless you put them in an LRC with a Chappie in Terminator armor.
Not much advice on your speeder/dreadnaught choices since you didn't list what weapons you have access to. LST's are great for anti-troop and TLLas/ML Tank Hunter Dreads are great for anti Tank power.
Your TAC squads are close to looking like CC squads, but you need Vet Sgts with PF and probably drop pods. Otherwise make 3 squads of 5 or 6 marines and add in some Heavy Weapons (depending on how you outfit your speeders and dreads).
