    Pretty straitforward list, pred stays back and covers the rhinos by hitting one enemy squad while the vindi plays as a fire magnet for a turn or two. (maybe get a shot or two off if its lucky.) The dred plays as fire magnet number two while the five rhinos do their job of putting fifty marines within 18 inches of the enemy lines before playing the role of roadblock.

    The fluff for these guys always made the disadvantages more fun to use then the advantages. Losing three slots and all...

    Lol friendly? you call that friendly? I call that down right mean!

    And love it accordingly lol.

    Only thing I would change is your captain. With all the vet sergeants, no need for the leadership ability. A chaplain will do the job you need your HQ for far better. Id drop the plasma pistol for a bolt pistol and make it a chaplain. He will only cost you 102 equipped as needed and will be farmore effective, far more resiliant and make the attached squad far more effective.

    Aside from that I love the list and think it will make your oponents cry.

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC

    Heh, you see to many chappies out there brynn. My 2k list for these guys has one with a thunder hammer. This is the list without him, plus another marine to fill in the tenth slot he occupies in his tac-squad...

    Besides the challange is much more fun when you have no +4 inv. saves.

    [All that and I wanted to see how long it would take before someone suggested swapping out the captain for a chappie.]

    True I should have..

    So no bits of advice to improve the rest of the army?

    I know the tactic I'm employing is straightforward and very flexible (perspective gives me a grand total of 8 fire magnets/decoys depending on what is the greater threat in the opening of the game.) but no one besides brynn's got advice that goes beyond swap the captain for a chappie?

    Might be time to start the next battle company for the chapter than. (Yay for defender company with its 4 devvie squads...)
