    1500pt - Drop Pod - Tournament

OK this is version one, all feedback appreciated, I do have a theme and some fluff for this, but I want to get straight feedback on the list as a tournament list first, so its not posted to avoid bias.

I think it would probably be effective, but it will not do well for comp. Each squad is duplicated, where is the variety? I would at least give the Librarians different psychic powers, maybe Fear the Darkness for one.
I also think if you come across an army with a bit of armour you will be in trouble. Plasma is too weak and unreliable to effectively take out tanks. Even a couple of predators will give you trouble, unless your 6" move dreads can corner them.

Give it a go, and see what happens, it could be interesting. I just know that I would have more fun with m,ore variety.

Sorry to say it but your list isn't legal.. Your Librarians can't join your squads in their drop pods, you have to have command squads for that..

Great thanks for the feedback, here is an amended (and hopefully legal) list. I know its a little uniform, but with the unpredictability of drop pods thrown in to the mix, if you have lots of varied troops I think it will be difficult to come up with any kind of strategy that might work, the redundancy is to counter some of the unpredictability. That said I take on board the comment about tank hunting. So squad T now has Meltas instaed of Plasmas

    So how about this

    Transport - Drop Pod

Like it, although changing the command squad to a terminator command squad with 2 assault cannons as well would clear way for the rest of your pods due to fear of the darkness and the infantry/but very capable anti-tank killing due to storm and assault cannon fire.

    Just considering all the options.

    Like the list though,
and uniformity is a good thing.
Unless you play an existing chapter,
    than it's seen as cheesy...

You could spend some of your leftover points on Teleport Homers - might be useful.

[EDIT] ooppss- no you can't, no terminators.

    cheers
