    grenadiers combat patrol

    hey i recenlt started to want to do an army that would lokk like a bunch of special ops troopers so here is my startin list

    Troops
    grenadiers 10
    plasma gun
    plasma gun

    I think you should drop the melta vet. squad and put the grenadiers in a chimera and give the other vet. squad a lascannon. Chimeras are deadly in combat patrol games because most people don't take anti-tank weaponry.

    okay i took out 9 men and added the chimera but i didn't add a lascannon because it is supposed to be a special ops and i wanted the very mobile (atleast being able to move and shoot)

    Your new list seems good its very fluffy but still pretty competitive.

    Rather than using the hull heavy bolter on your chimera I would suggest using a a pintle heavy stubber, then you don't have to be facing your enemy to shoot them. I would also suggest getting some upgrades such as extra armour and smoke launchers to make your chimera last longer.

    You have to be joking, for absolutely no reason trade in your heavy bolter for a heavy stubber. :sleep: The loss of strength and AP is not worth it under any circumstances. However buying a heavy stubber alongside the hull heavy bolter and turrent weapon is quite a good idea.

    I'd recommend trading in the HB for a turret autocannon (if Forgeworld variants allowed). The extra range and strength makes them great vs enemy transport vehicles and dreads. You've got a lot of melta's and plasma's - depends if you feel you need the range (get the AC), or volume of shots (stick with the H.

    okay well to start i just noticed that the chimera's points are wrong and it's 15 points cheaper sowith those points i could get smoke luanchers and extra armour for it and i could either get a power wepon for vet serg.s or another another stormie what do you think (i could also get 2 other vets if i didn't get use any other upgrades for the chimera)what do you think i should do

    You should probably get a heavy stubber and smoke launchers as this will give the chimera 9 shots which can make the chimera a beast in small games.
