Hi guys, i'm still pretty new with 40k and I'm just starting up with Daemon hunters so I need all the help I can get.
5 grey knights
I'll be facing Tau, Nurgle, Orks, and Dark Eldar so it needs to be pretty flexible
Are melta guns really needed in combat patrol? I would prefer to have all plasma guns, but then again I am a plasma maniac.
The Imperial Guard is like a punchbag - No matter how hard you hit it, it'll always be ready for a fight.
Vcitory for the Imperial Guard comes about through the sacrifice of our men, not through the cowardly survival tricks of other armies.
Take out the melta guns entirely, replace them with plasma in both squads. Twice the range really help you out, and any armor you see can be popped by your GKs or the plasmas. i would replace the psycannon grey knight with another grey knight, but if you think you really like them, go ahead and keep it.
EDIT: By the way, welcome to LO.
Et imperator Invocato Diabolus Daemonica Exorcist!
You know what I like? Grenade Launchers! Nobody likes Grenade Launchers and I have no idea why; they cost the same and are far more flexible than plasma guns since you have the frag grenade to deal with low-T swarms and krak grenades to take down tougher opponents, they're Assault weapons so you can keep your ISTs away from punchy assault squads and still get a few decent shots off, and best of all there's no Gets Hot! on a Grenade Launcher so you've no chance of losing a model through "to hit" rolls. Give both of your IST squads 2 Grenade Launchers. That's about the only thing I'd change in this list, other than that it seems like a good solid combat patrol to me.
