I have tried to make a combat patrol army as a pre-cursor to my re-vamped Cadian army.
Your thoughts on the list?
Close Order Drill
Command Squad: Junior Officer w/ Storm Bolter, Power Weapon, Frag Grenades & Iron Discipline. 4 Guardsmen w/ 2 Laspistols & CCWs & 2 Flamers.
Infantry Squad 1: 10 Men w/ 8 Lasguns, Grenade Launcher & Autocannon.
Infantry Squad 2: 10 Men w/ 8 Lasguns, Grenade Launcher & Autocannon.
Remnant Squad: 6 Guardsmen w/ 5 Lasguns & Plasma Gun.
Sentinel Squadron 1: 1 Sentinel w/ Autocannon & Hardened Fighters.
Sentinel Squadron 2: 1 Sentinel w/ Autocannon & Hardened Fighters.
33 Models, 31 of which are infantry.
My regular opponents are Orks and Tau. There will also be the odd MEQ thrown in too.
THe Plan: The 2 Infantry Squads make "Line 1" and open up on the enemy. The Command Squad and Remnants make "Line 2" for leadership, and for some counter charge/fire units. The Sentinels will either be like pillboxes, 1 on each flank (if the enemy has few AT weapons), or will advance using cover to get into combat with these weaker troops.
Ok, so your thoughts/tips on this list please.
You're spending 20pts (5%) of your total so your Sentinels might do better in HtH?
If autocannon equipped sentinels are that close to enemy then I doubt "hardened fighters" will help much
Also your HQ is a bit pricey at this level
Taking the very basic HQ @ 40pts
Then 3 squads with GL & AC @ 83pts
Then 2 x Sentinels with AC @ 100pts
Thta's 383 pts 35 infantry and 2 x sentinels, so 17pts over for some goodies for the HQ
Probably a missile launcher as it adds to both anti-armour and anti-infantry potential and maybe the remining 2 points for a surveyor or summat, or make the HQ the countercharge unit with maybe some flamers or a melta gun?
Autocannons are quite good in CP, they have range and can kill infantry or light vehicles of the type likely to be found in CP.
Just my take anyway ;-)

Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.
Hmm. Personally i dont see much point in giving your command squad any Close combat upgrades in 400 points as what you mean to do with them? You shouldnt charge them out as they will only die.
Give the officer carapace, and the guys a missle launcher or two and just sit back and 'snipe' with it.
That is of course my opinion, and up to you.
"i pity the poor fool"
your officer has a storm bolter and a power weapon so he is illegal (a 2 handed gun and a 1 handed weapon) I would drop the frag grenades on him as well. You will be playing an extremely shooty and extremely CC army, dont try to be a balance. out shoot both opponents.
Since most are recomending to drop your counter charge you can still use your officer as a sacrifice charge. Before a unit hits your lines charge them with the officer squad or put the squad in front of your line. it normally buys you another turn of rapid fire
