    2000pt marine list, vanilla

    Master with auspex, storm bolter, Krak grenades
    7 marine command squad, 1 HB
    Epistolary, FOTA, BP, Krak grenades, Auspex
    7 marine command squad, 1 HB

    8 Vets w/ lascannon, tank hunters
    8 Vets w/ lascannon, tank hunters
    8 Vets w/ lascannon, tank hunters

    8 Marines with 1 HB
    8 Marines with 1 HB
    8 Marines with 1 HB
    8 Marines with 1 HB
    8 Marines with 1 HB
    8 Marines with 1 HB

    8 Devs with 1 HB
    8 Devs with 1 HB

    Land speeder

    104 basic marines, 11 HBs, 3 s10 lascannons. Sit back and shoot. Very boring army but easy wins, for any interested. I myself avoid it, but makes for a very easy to learn list that will take nearly all comers.

    My armies:
    16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
    7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
    6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
    4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
    1,500+ of Legion (just started)

    i would drop the epistolary and get more lascannons and heavy bolters but other than that it is perfectly boring

    Well, you assume you can stop the opponent form hitting your lines... i dont think you can. Most armies will have trouble, but nids/blood angles will cut through you easily.

    I think you need more CC and mobility.

    I agree, as well as a space wolf army with all rhinos. 13th company is a pain as well if your a shooty army with their free move.

    Sorry, but 11 HBs, sitting on the back of the board will simply shred wolves, BA, or nids before they can close. That's a minimum of 30 inches they need to cover. 2 turns for even the fastest of units, which I can then single out and cut down. The only thing that may cause problems is SW scout squad. But rhinos dies to 3 lascannons and 11 HBs with absolutely no problem. hbs alone-22 hits, 3-4 glances. If they move a second turn they can't assault out of the vehicle, which I can then simply surround (I have 104 marines) preventing them from deploying and forcing them to move another turn and not assault.

    But yeah, perfectly boring.

    but normal games have terrain, and theres not going to be a 36" divide down the middle between you and him. You cant say for sure that you will get soo many turns for shooting. But you will always get 1

    Also may i ask what happens against the 48" army

    25% terrain, or even 30% will still allow you to kill the heck out of anything. And if they deploy 15" forward, I just line up on the back edge. 33 inches. 12 in, 36, still HB range.

    And yeah, I can gaurantee 2 rounds of shooting for everything but hormigaunts. And even then, a squad of hormis, no matter how big will die to double tap and hbs in a single round of fire from that many marines.
    Whyches? bolters and HBs bring down raiders not much of a problem there. Pinned unit, double tap or HB to death next turn.

    48" army? Tau or lascannons? what are you referring too? If I want, i can put my models on my 12" mark, meaning 36 is the farthest he can be from me. Again, in HB range.

    There's almost nothing that can counter this army, which is what makes it so bland.


    edit, also note that 25% terrain doesn't mean blocks LOS, nor AT. Just terrain. So size 1-3 AT, and normal hills/terrain. with as many squads as I have, i can focus fire at least 3 HBs on ANY unit I want, no matter the terrain.

    well then how would you fare againts necrons or tau ( you can try and out shoot tau if you really wan too )

    Again, easy wins. Necrons range 24 for almost all of thier stuff. that gives me at least 3 rounds of shooting before they are in range to return fire. If they go destroyers, then I just focus on them. Since the warrioirs will have to move to get in range, I'll be firing my bolters before they ever get to shoot.

    As to tau, FOTA, 3 s10 lascannons, and that many ap4 shots will simply tear through them. Again, deploy on the rear edge and sit back and shoot. As said before. It's not a fun army to play with, but it is highly effective.

    but what about crisis suits i mean every turn sutits jumping ot and plasmaing your troops and for the necrons what happens when he takes a monolith
