Ok I pull out my sm and blew the dust off them. I will be using them this weekend. I usually play IG or nids but I am in mood to try my SM army again. I like footslogging troops more so then vehicles other than LS. It seems vehicles do not last long. I have 2 list for you guys to look and tear apart with ideas thanks.
Vanilla ( no traits)
Librarium- terminator armor, sb,fotd
with 5 terminators 2xac
3x6 terminators 2xac
3x5 Sm 1with LC
1x6 Sm 1with LC
DW(all have stubborn)
Librarium- terminator armor, sb,fotd, mantle
with 4 terminators 2xac
3x5 terminators 2xac
2x6 terminators 2xcml
In both lists, the Librarain would be much more effective if given a drop pod.
That way fear of the darkness will tear appart armies that are often difficult for death wing/terminators to handel.
Those being, IG/eldar/tau.
These 3 races really get hammered by fear of the darkness.
Go for the first list thanks to its advanced tactical flexibility. And I agree that the Lib. should have a drop pod, but so should at least one other unit, as only one unit in Drop Pods tend to die quickly with little or no gain.
"Thousand Sons! Fight in the Emperor's name!"
DA :8/5/7 Eldar:3/3/5 1KSons:3/1/2
Thanks for the info. I was thinking instead of drop pod how about I deepstrike 2 units instead the hq and one of the elites?
Don't really need the expensive mantle with a Termy-armoured character. I'd change both squads of CMLs to ACs which you really need to max out on. Alternatively, drop a squad and get 2 fire support Dreads instead. Furious charge would be useful for the Libby and his Command squad sarge too. Just a little thing, but it is always useful if you have enough squads to designate one as a Fast Attack choice. That way way you can deploy it last to take advantage of any weakness (or threats) posed by enemy deplyment.Originally Posted by bonekrusher

thanks for the input zuriel. I like the idea of fast attack it will help delay setting my troops up. but I have decided to go with the vanilla instead of dw. i will be facing one of these 3 today. LATD, Blood Angels or tyranids.
