What do you think?
Hello there, heard a Space wolf howl call.
I have put together a Space Wolf list for an upcoming KF Turni, and am about to post it here and also ask for help.
But I thought it polite to reply to yours first.
: Are you playing defensive or more all out attack?
:I Don’t use drop pods and don’t know much about them so what I am about to say next may be wrong.
Having over a 300pts 4 man and lord squad looks like a very bad idea,
1:They come in Deep strike reserve so they could scatter, come at the most inappropriate time or not at all.
2:It is a slow moving assault squad that have poor shooting when the time they come out of the pod and can not launch an attack with their good CC weapons when the do come out of it.
3mall numbers, the can be handled very easily with even basic shooting and assaulting enemy units and will pay heavily in points for it. You could deep strike hide them but again scatter and their speed could leave them not participating in the battle at all.
There are probably more reasons but I will leave others repliers to point them out so they can have a bite too.
Next thing I can see is that you have Rhino transports fore your blood claws,
I am not saying rhinos are a bad idea; they are actually very good with Grey Hunters. BUT! Reason: You can not assault out of a moving rhino any more, Grey Hunters are not going to assault because they are going to fire with all those rapid firing bolters, blood claws will still find it hard to get the charge even using the Tank.
If you have the points (Blood claws need to get in to CC some way or another) then go for a Land Raider C. (which they can assault from).
Me however use walking BC as a counter attack to the previously driven up GH.
Now the Grey Hunter look cool, all deploying from drop pods with the Lords drop pod from the sky,
But with so many reserve rolls and scatter chances the kick ass Surprise attack could come in dips and drabs and be separated from each other and not be together as one to form a one hit knock out,
Remember their range will be limited to 12 so it will be even harder to concentrate fire or even be in range when the scatter comes around,
I do like the Venerable Dreadnought, It’s a predictable choice for everybody, but you have made the right one and equipped it with the right stuff.
The hellfire Dread is also and good one (I am considering one for myself,
With out heavy Weapons in our troop slots, this dread will hopefully fill that hole.
The Pred’s had me confused with what weapons you gave them but its ok, it may be what you got them put together as.
When seen from a certain angle, however with the new defensive and primary weapons you could have the Predator destructor with top P autocannon and D heavy bolters all firing even after moving and leave the Predator annihalator as it is blasting away.
These are just a few of the thing I have seen in battles when playing my Space Wolves, or asking others.
I wouldn’t take all this personally or seriously, it’s just a game after all, and at the start even I picked the models I like the look of the best first.

well for the bloodclaws I just move them around in the tank, not too close to the enemy, exit out of the enemy fire then charge!! :p
for the 2 predators..I might make the destructor an annihilator so I have more tank killing power...hehe.
Thanks for replying!
Alright would of posted sooner but something came up.
Okay then HQs are looking good, with your Wolf Lord you might want to throw in some wolves, they're cheap and are quite nasty in CC. I'd also put H. Flamer on your Dread but thats just preferance, and I play Tyranids a lot (LOVE frying genestealers with it). Like AJ said Termie armor for Rune Priest wouldn't be amiss, and don't you just love taking the CotS and getting an extra CC attack no matter what?(plus makes infiltrators hate your guts!)
Putting BC in rhinos doesn't seem like the greatest idea but you could be sneaking and not use your smoke launchers get a penetrating hit, have the blood claws pop out and ready to charge the next turn. Also wondering why you didn't put 10 in that one squad but not really important.
Grey hunters look fine, I'd use the Plasma pistols but that’s your choice, also you cut 2 guys out of each, I like my squads full but whatever. On the guys who actually carry your PF you might want to just give BP instead of Bolters. That way if you do get a chance to charge you'll get 2 extra PF attacks and that’s always good.
I don't really like Predators but there fine, gives you some anti-tank. I'd rather run Vindicators with PotMS but eh whatever works.
Your dreadnoughts fine, I'd rather just rip off the Las and Missiles, put'em in a drop pod and start blasting at close range and smashing any vehicles dumb enough to be nearby (of course they didn't have choice if its Drop pod).
Bikers are okay, just it says in the entry they come with only one CCW each (or pistol but same thing), your Wolf Guard can have two weapons but kinda weird with the rest (must of been an old rule that you could only take 1) I agree with you here though, this probably the only time you want Power Weapon over the fist just because you don't have as many people.
With this last unit of Grey Hunters I think your just filling in points so might I suggest taking some Scouts? Gear'em up with Melta bombs and make'm come in from your opponent’s side and blast any tank your dreads don't take care of just watch out for Eldar and Tau, stupid skimmers.
