Ok, I'm a newbie here, only got a few models but looking to expand my collection. Here's my rough idea for a 500-point army, based on the advice I've read here and in the tactica. Comments on the current army are welcome, along with advice on what to do to beef it up to 750, and later 1,000 points. Someday I'd like an inquisitor, and a termie retinue for my commander, but no rush on either. I want this to be an army that wins. That's about all I know beyond what you see here.
So here goes:
- Grey Knight Brother-Captain, vanilla, no wargear beyond the basics, total 61 pts.
- Grey Knight Squad (6 PAGK + 1 Justicar, two psycannons), total 250 pts.
- 10-man IST squad, two meltaguns, total 120 pts.
- Rhino w/smoke launchers and extra armour (for the ISTs), total 58 pts.
TOTAL COST: 489 points
Yeah, it's not much, but it's a start.
I'd take the psycannons out of the GK squads, the Sbolter + nemesis seems like a much better choice imo, and then you can take a chimera and get more firepower in the form of a vehicle, but it's your decision Otherwise looks good.
Though unnumbered lurking perils await us, our blades will ever be ready.
FOR WE ARE THE EMPEROR'S VENGEANCE!
Very good 1st-ever list! At 500 pts, I think you're better off with more GKs than you are with psycannons, however. Do put one on the BC, though! Nothing lost, but everyting gained.
Drop 2-4 ISTs, and combine the savings with those from the other dropped GK psycannon to get more GKs.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
