    Blood Angels [2k] need advice

Ok - I've edited the list some - changed multi-meltas for plasmacannons and added plasmapistols to the assault-team. But I still want more advice/feedback on the list. What will the role of the different units? (Of course I've given some thought to this myself).

Blood Angels 5th Company - Battleforce Validus (the mighty)

    Head Quarters (222 pts)

Chaplain Perosus – 222 pts [hating]
Crozius Arcanum, Rosarius, boltpistol, jump pack, frag grenades, deathcompany

    Death-company

    Troops (941 pts)

Tactical squad Bellator – 210 pts [warlike, warriors]
10 marines, plasmacannon, plasmagun, veteran sergeant w. powerfist
Rhino, extra armour, smoke launchers – 73 pts

Tactical squad Veneratio – 210 pts [honoured, noble]
10 marines, plasmacannon, plasmagun, veteran sergeant w. powerfist
Rhino, extra armour, smoke launchers – 73 pts

Tactical squad Ferrum – 200 pts [sword]
10 marines, lascannon, plasmagun, veteran sergeant w. powerfist

Scout Squad Cruentus – 160 pts [bloody, bloodthirsty]
10 Blood Angel scouts, veteran sergeant w. powerweapon, melta bombs

    Fast attack (545 pts)

Assaultsquad Tempest – 280 pts [storm]
10 assaultmarines, meltabombs, 2 plasmapistols, veteran sergeant w. powerfist

Bike Squadron Ferrox – 265 pts [warlike]
5 bikers, 2 meltaguns, veteran sergeant w. powerfist, bolt pistol
    1 Attack bike, multi-melta

    Heavy Support (291 pts)

Baal Predator Invictus – 151 pts [unconquered]
Heavy bolters, smoke launchers, extra armour, searchlight, power of the machine-spirit

for a blood angels army, there is not a lot of assault going on here, only two squads dedicated to it?maybe move a tactical squad over for another assault squad, or a veteran assault squad, but other than that it looks very effective. I'd say its a very codex list, but with BA units, interestng to see how it plays
Space Marines are the gateway drug

If everyone makes fun of West Virginia, who does West Virginia make fun of?

Yeah - not many assault-squads here

My deathcompany have jump packs and I have 15 models for them - so it's a pretty strong assaultforce with the chappies abilities.

I usually field an honourguard with a librarian, but the point cost for the squad is way to high for a 2k ´point game. As is the veteran assault squad - the ordinary assault squads have meltabombs for less points - so the veteran squad is really not worth it's high cost!

The other options that I can field is: veteran squad w. 2 PF, another Baal, vindicator, my honour guard, scout squad with snipers, assault squad without jump packs (death company ), land rider, whirlwind with castellian missiles, 8 strong terminator squad....I think that's about it....

But - plasmacans or multi-meltas....that's the question....

Just one thing for me to say really, Multi-Meltas are heavy so they might not be the best option to put on guys in Rhinos.

However - it's not always that rhino-squads get stuck in close-combat after they disembark..
the next turn a multi-melta might prove very useful! One bolter less is not that big a loss for a 10-man tactical squad.

However - I may replace the pair of them with plasmacannons instead - I often run into power-armoured foes!

Can anyone please evaluate my list - what's good and what's not so very good!?

hq is fine, im glad that someone that i know does BA is doing a decent chaplain.

for the troops: the 2 squads in the rhinos are very shooty, so i would take the PCs out of them and use them in something else. take the lascannon out of the foot Tac and give their Vet sarge a PF.
i dont have the BA codex on me right now so i cant help with the rest but hopefully that helps

Hmm..... I don't like taking tac-squads without heavy weapons - they are cheap and effective if I get a good line of fire - especialy plasma cans as they are good versus power armoured grunts. Should I take other heavy weapons or what exacly do you mean?

well, the thing is that they are an assault army, if you spend rounds with your tacs in the back so they can fire a PC or a LC, thats wasting their true value and their major potential.

To Andusciassus - detta är inte den armé du kommer att möta....så vänta dig inget

OK - to clarify some things with the list:

    - Tactical squads in rhinos is not supposed to always be stationary - they are tactical squads with everything it comes with - they are supposed to move and cover up precious assault/DC/bikes and provide overall fire-support and close combat support.
The tactical squad without rhino is my most stationary unit. It will probably be deployed in flank position where it can bind enemy flankers or take on the role of flank centre unit.

    - Scouts are for holding up enemies during the first turns, and they are quite much cannon-fodder (it's always good if oponent shoot them instead of other - more expensive - troops).

    - Assault and Deathcompany is supposed to take out enemies core troopers. They can also countercharge the more aggressive enemies.

    - Bikers and dreadnought are for taking out enemy armour...hope they will deliver...

    - Baal is supposed to be shot at and provide fire-support for tactical squads that are threatened to be overunn by enemy infantry.

I hope that this makes the structure of the army a bit clearer. I also hope that this clarifies why I'm taking heavyweapons in my rhino-tac squads.

Sorry for doubleposting - but please! I need more advice!

If you want them to have a look at the list, just PM them, and I'm sure they'll set a moment aside to give it a review.
