    1500pt Salamanders 2nd (cites of death)

    Hi all

    This is my Salamanders 2nd commpany, 1500pts.
    traits: Cleanse and Purify & See, but dont be seen.
    Disadvantage: Eye to Eye

    I have changed the fluff a little so that the salamanders 2nd commpany are experts at infiltrateing, their tactical and devastator squads.

    So hear we go.

    HQ
    Epistolary Alessio Diaz
    Fear of darkness, Fury of the ancients,
    psychic hood, bolt pistol, close combat weapon,
    Iron halo, frag granades, infiltrate.
    Cost: 170pts

    Command squad diaz (attached to alessio) all have frags and infiltrate.
    Sergeant, close combat weapon, bolt pistol
    Apothecary, narthecium, reductor, close combat weapon, bolt pistol
    Company champion, power weapon, combat shield, bolt pistol
    2 Marines, plasma guns or melta guns (havent disided)
    3 marines, close combat weapons, bolt pistols

    Brother Naklav the dreadnought
    Assult cannon, dred close combat weapon, heavy flamer,
    smoke lunchers, extra armour.
    Cast: 123pts

    TROOP
    Tactical squad Haestus all have infiltrate
    10 marines, t-hounors, power fist, bolt pistol, Meltagun, Plasma gun.
    Cost: 236pts

    Tactical squad Mercurius all have infiltrate
    10 marines, t-hounors, power fist, bolt pistol, meltagun, plasma gun.

    Tactical squad Laertes all have infiltrate

    Hum, first off don't forget the Libby comes with a force weapon. You put CCW in his listing of equipment.

    Second i'd make the srgt a Vet srgt with power fist.

    For the tactical squads, most people will tell you not to mix and match special weapons. Make 2 squads both plasma or melta and make the third squad 2 of the other one. (Personally i'd go 2 squads 2 meltas, 1 squad 2 plasmas, but im not a huge plasma fan)

    You've spent alot of points infiltrating your Command and tactical squads, but not the Devestator squad, so this is going to be the only squad in sight of the enemies weapons first turn, so maybe get them infiltrate as well.
    Also, I see you picked heavy bolters over Missle launchers, I might trade them for MLs as aside from your marines, you have no armor busting ability, well and your one assault cannon.

    Other then that, if you can find the points a tornado or two would be nice.

    I Like,

    I take in that the last squad is taking a plasma gun and Lascannon because it cant take a plas cannon and lascannon?
    A multi-melta might be better than las-cannon, because of background and the fact that your infiltrating.

    thats the perfect amount for a whirlwind...speeders are hard to manuver in the cities because theres not much room to fly/land. A whirlwind can chill in the back, and indirect fire anyone who gets caught out in the open.

    i almost always use a libby and personally i like to give him art. armor and veil of time, especially if ur planning on going into CC with him and if i can i give him a halo

    also if ur going to try to assault with ur tac squads why not jus give the LCs to ur dev squad, i mean u gave ur sarge a fist, and they have infiltrate, so im thinking ur gonna try to assault, but maybe im wrong.

    and with the extra points, um, well, i like landspeeders tornados, they can pop tanks, and i dont think u have an assault cannon in ur army, and i think every marine army should have at least one, they own:yes:
