the 1500 pts i will field at my local gaming club tomorrow - need advice!
Possible adversaries: Tau, Daemonhunters, Black Legion, Biel'tan Eldar, Dethwing, Darkangels, Space Marines, Deathguard.

Oh - I forgot to mention that it will probably be CoD - and as a BA player - take heavy weapons on tac-squads even if you may have to move - it's just one bolter less and the point-cost isn't that big!

I'd seriously consider taking something instead of ONE of those Plasma weapons. In a squad, I take 1 more plasma weapon than there are Apothecaries in the squad, steering clear of Plasma guns whenever possible.
Since you are a fairly mobile army, take a Multi-melta instead of Plasma cannon. That way your two special weapons are at the same range.
Chaplain leading Death Company... Not EVER to be left out. You've even disabled any strikes 1st in cover crap.
The scouts are just what you need to tie up the enemy for a coupla turns and get your guys closer.
Razorback, 2 Baals. *counts* 21, 22, 23 shots! Nice! Normally this would get you into some trouble, but the BA are immune to that ("Why are you firing at that? It's only the Land Raider Crusader! That's a TACTICAL SQUAD! Kill IT!"). But you shouldn't give Searchlights, they're a waste of time and their effective range is only at 24" anyway.
Assault squad? As if there'd be anything else. A much needed advancing line. Also quick reinforcements for those scouts. Might wanna consider giving the Sarge Meltabombs only. The whole squad doesn't need them.
So far, we've saved 22pts.
So... My advice is:
*Fanfare erupts in glorious testamet to <E!_Mance>'s infinite wisdom...*
Get another sniper scout.
*fanfare fizzles out to the sound of a whoopee cushion*
