    This list is for tournement play so want to have something competitive, any advice/feedback appreciated.

    Have 52 points left over, was thinking of maybee giving the inquisitor a rhino wich would be nice for the entire mechanised theme but it seems kind of useless since most of the unit has heavy weapons, was also considering changing the hellhound to another russ or a demolisher maybee.

    Your Inquisitor squad is a massive point sick and this squad wont last long but im guessing your just taking him for the Assassin (Only reson i would take one)

    If you really want to drop your Command squad then lose the carapace as there going to die anyway so dont waste the points, aslo why not use the points on a drop troops vet squad with 3 melta guns as there get more hits and cost less then your squad

    Karskin squads work better with two plsama guns as even with Infiltrate there never get near a tank aslo only officers can take iron discipline

    Your Leman Russ tanks are good, maybe lose the smoke as your be fireing each turn with them
    so you will never get the chance to use it

    Chimera squads are good but lose the auspex and as you sould start them off in there Chimera
    so they can zoom off right at the start

    Just give the Inquisitor a cheap bodyguard and use all the points saved on some guard squads with heavy weapons and some drop troop vet tank hunting squads

    213 pts is like a leman russ, he really doesnt need to be that expensive,

    dont even bother with carapace on those tiny squads, it wont make a difference

    everything else is pretty much ok, so elite storm troopers drop with meltas, and other ones cruise with plasmas, sounds ok to me

    you should easily skim the points off this list of afford a basilisk or something else, see how you go

    Sorry what do you mean by they never get to fire?

    Im somewhat limited in the models available to me atm since i just starting back up with 40k but the main reason i put carapace armor on the command squad is i want the entire army to be karskin models and 20 points makes my life alot easier since i simply dont have the models for normal guardsmen command squads.

    I have another leman russ/vanquisher i just ordered from FW i could use and another hellhound also, i have a another squad of karskin with some more plasma guns to replace if they are more useful then melta's. I could also replace the inquisitor lord and assassin with a Grey knight grandmaster and retinue.

    My way of thinking on the inquisitor lord is at the very least he costs 63 points and at 63 points is basicly completely useless, would rather spend the extra 150 and have something useful then just throw away 63 and never get any use from it, would seem to me that a plasma cannon with a mystic is a useful little trick against deep striking units or with the callidus's a word in your ear.

    Was thinking maybee giving him a rhino and 2 multi melta servitors to go tank hunting with as an alternative.

    Any other suggestions? got like 60 spare points with the iron discipline taken out, was thinking maybee giving the squads chem masks doctrine for morale.

    What i mean is that your Stormtrooper squads have metla guns and will never get within 6" of any tank even with Infiltrate, plsama works better here

    It would be better to replace the inquisitor but then you can have the cool Assassin, dam them for making us take a old man just because we want to use a nice model

    Multi meltas are only useful on things like landspeeders as there never get in 12" of a tank if your opponent is smart so dont use them as we have nothing as fast as that

    Aslo Stormtroopers can not take any doctrines whatsoever, doctrines can only be used by squads made up of guardsmen and command squads

    Why not play at 1500 points as most players do

    In canada 1700 points is the standard for GW tournements, hall of heroes thing, getting the list together for that.

    Not crazy about the 30 points thats wasted on the cameoline for the hq and combat engineers but i think its a great doctrine for the hardened veterans.

    Another option is to drop the inquisitor lord and the callidus and replace them with a grey knight grandmaster and retinue of 4 GKT or another squad of hardened vets and a hellhound.

    Any input appreciated, really shooting for a list that can win.
