I seem to be stuck between rock and a hard place with my Deamon hunters, my friends and I have decided to make a friendly turnament, but i really can't decide how i must put my army together.
My first though was
PAGK squad - 150pts
PAGK squad - 150pts
8 IST with 2 plasma - 100.
total of 400.
- but can it kick through their armour?
On the other hand i thought about dropping the IST and strengthen my PAGK sqauds.
I also thougt about using an inqusitor and reteniue along with some IST's. Perhaps only an inquisitor to assist the ist, but i really don't know.
I hope that some of you will comment on my thoughts
In 400pts, how much armor are you expecting your oponents to take? Anyway, the total armor value of any vehicle taken in a combat patrol is 33(i think) Nobody will be taking armor those plasmaguns cant pop. The storm bolters might even be helpful poping any tanks. You might want to drop the second PAGK squad and add 3 guys to the other PAGK squad. Then you could add an inquisitor with a psycannon, have him join the IST squad, and still have points left over for an upgrade for the Inq. or Justicar. You could give the Inq. carapace armor and the justicar Artificer Armor (and Melta bombs, if you are really worried about tanks).
It would look like this:
Inq. with carapace armor and psycannon (joins ISTs)=55pts
8-Strong GK squad=245pts
8-strong IST squad with 2 plasma=100pts

My concerns mostly covert the 3+ save and 5 thoughness i would have to deal with when facing death guard, Not really about tanks...My bad i think
PLayed a game this evening at it actually worked out fine. My pagk's kicked their ass.
Single handed my justicar with meltabomb took down a 2nurgling swarms, a fully packed dreadnought and 7 plauge marines including a champion, but i think you where rigth about getting more knigths in the Pagk sqaud - I'll try that out next time. Thanks for the advice
