    Give the chaplain terminator honours, otherwise I think that list will do fine against most armys, especially the chaplain and assault marines they will do well in cc.

    I'm gonna be blunt and to the point, 'cos I'm tired and suchlike. All the below advice is assuming you want to go for competitiveness over fluffiness, so I am completely ignoring such things. So try not to take offence, ok?

    The lightning claws on the chaplain are a pretty expensive upgrade for not a huge effect. Think hard about saving 29 points, and getting a bolt pistol.
    If you do that, try to get some more scouts on the field. They can drop pretty fast, so having more bodies is always good.

    Sniper scout squads are pretty inneffective, I find. Keep the missile launchers, loose the rifles.
    Melta bombs on assault squads are fairly wasteful. As are lightning claws on the veteran sergeant. A powerfist will be so much more useful, you will cry.
    If I'm remembering points values correctly, that should save you 80 points. 80 points = Land Speeder Tornado. Sorted.

    Nice army, I like it, but some changes would make it more effective

    Chaplain has Crocius for free, so dont pay for 2LC (unless you are very fluff oriented and/or want to play shrike model ;-)
    Keep crocius, add plasma pistol or bolt pistol (plasma is quite usefull)
    add frag grenades, maybe one meltabomb but you propably want this squad assault something that you can tie in close combat.

    Scouts snipers with ML should have cost 95 points ...mistake?? spare 40 points :-)

    Assault squads need veteran sergeants with power fist and bolt pistol, drop meltabombs, try to find points for boosting both squad to full 10. If you have spare point, add combat shield for sergeants (ad if you feel lucky ;-)

    You have low number of bodies, this army heavy depends on terrain and cover out of LoS...

    Chaplain is very good. But give him some wargear and furiouse charge. HINT (helps a lot)
    He will do bad against orks nids. Unless you shoot them down first.

    Major problem you don't have have the core units major units marines.
    But if you want to use your scouts put as many of them in a squad as possible. Make one close combat and the other with some snipers missle launcher and close combat like one or two close combat. But if wanted put a ml in each scout squad.

    Put ten guys in the squad that travels with the chaplain. Give guy termie honurs in squad with chaplain. Other one is well balanced.

    Sounds pretty good but where are the anti tank weapons in the whole army you need some if versing tau... But the melta bombs do work if you want to put your guys in close comabt with tank. Maybe you should get one cheap land speeder thats destructive and use it as a distraction.
    get shrike i like him but i think specail characters are a waste of points.

    A couple of quick points, you CANNOT give any Space Marine characters veteran skills unless they take a command squad. Thus, you cannot have a chaplain with furious charge.

    Assault cannons can be devastating anti-tank weapons, especially if your opponent isn't expecting it. Combine this with his pair of missile launchers, and I think he has anti-tank adequately covered for a 1000 pts game.

    Also, I disagree with razz about plasma pistols on characters. firstly, I do not find them to be 15 times better than a bolt pistol, considering they will probably only get to shoot once or twice per game. Also, a plasma pistol can wound the model carrying it, which is possibly an acceptable pay-off with normal assault marines, but definately not on veteran sergeants or characters.

    I'd strongly suggest you NOT cut out that LST. They rule, espeically in small games.

    I agree with a couple of the other posters, I think LCs on your chaplain is a bit much. You already get to re-roll misses on the charge, unless you're going after big bugs or something, wounding shouldn't be that much of a concern. I'd suggest you take those points and buy one of your assault sgts. a powerfist in case an opponent gets cute and sneaks in a TMC or something.

    Also, I fail to see the point in buying a scout sgt. terminator honors if you aren't going to give him something special to swing.
