    First try on a 750 points friendly IG army

    Hello there...

    As a long time WH fantasy player, I have decided to give the 40,000 a try. I`ve finally decided upon the imperial guard, and this is my first try to make a playable 750 points army. It is ment to be for a friendly game, but it would also be interesting to get advice on how to change it to fit into a competativ enviorment. Please feel free to comment as you like, I know the list is a long way from "perfect"... But I hope to learn much from your comments, so please tell my why I should change things and not only what to change. Well, here we goes...

    Doctrines:
    Sharpshooters
    Cameleoline
    Special weapons
    Drop troops
    Iron Discipline

    HQ

    Command squad 121 points
    HSO, Plasma pistol
    3 special weapons, Meltaguns
    Veteran, medic

    Special weapons squad 75 points
    2 Special weapons, Meltagun
    Demolition charge

    Troops

    1st platoon

    HQ squad, 91 points
    Junior officer,Plasma pistol
    3 special weapons,Plasma gun
    1 Veteran, medic

    A squad,Sharpshooters, 93 points
    Missile launcher
    Granade launcher

    B squad,Cameleoline, 105 points
    Lasercannon
    Plasma gun

    2nd platoon

    HQ squad, 91 points
    Junior officer,Plasma pistol
    3 special weapons,Plasma gun

    ok here we go:

    HQ

    Command squad 121 points
    HSO, Plasma pistol
    3 special weapons, Meltaguns
    Veteran, medic
    i wouldnt reccomend the medic here, he isnt really as useful as he sounds instead, you need some morale in this list, may i recommend the following items/changes:

    - Junior Officer
    - Honorifica Imperialis
    - Veteran with Standard Bearer
    - Iron Disipline

    Special weapons squad 75 points
    2 Special weapons, Meltagun
    Demolition charge
    ok so this is a demo charge squad, no problems here

    Oh yeah, when you take camoline cloaks, i believe it says you MUST have it on everything possible, so keep that in mind

    I dont know if this is just me but it seems hes putting some close up powerfull weapons in his squads because hes drop troops, but shouldnt you continue that "doctrine" instead of buying HB and nade launchers?
