Welcome to Librarium Online!
What say you? I think it has a pretty even mix of all elements.
1 - Close Order Drill
2 - Iron Discipline
HQ - Command Platoon - 196
+ JO - HI, BP, CCW, ID
+ 3 x Lascannons
Troops - Infantry Platoon - 226
+ JO - LP, CCW, ID
+ GL, ML
+ GL, ML
Troops - Armored Fist - 173
+ Flamer, HB
+ Turret ML, Hull HB, Pintel HS
Heavy Support - Leman Russ - 155
+ Hull HB, Sponson HBs
Comes out to 750 even. Every point save for 10 is spent on men or guns. >=D And I figure Iron Discipline is a worthy investment. If I could find 10 points to give the Lascannons sharpshooters, I would, but I don't know where to get it from. Maybe drop the heavy bolter? Maybe... Any suggestions?
I like it. If this is the list that you play, I think it is competative.
It's worth a krak!
I like it too, the lack of plasma has a very good feel to it. (Since plasma weaponry is supposed to be one of the rarer weapons for gaurd, what with their sheer size and all...)

if you need an extra ten points then you could drop the heavy bolter on the armoured fist and change the chimeras hull heavy bolter for a heavy flamer, this gives a flamey squad and sharpshooters. Although unless playing against guard or similar id keep it as is looks good.
Thanks for the input. It's a pretty straight forward list so I didn't expect a whole lot of stuff.
I'd considered dropping the heavy bolter, though half the time the squad gets set up with the rest of the line and I only zoom off in the Chimera in the latter half of the game to pounce on something or whatnot.
And yeah, the lack of Plasma is intentional. xD The next 250 points will see a Stormtrooper squad with some plasma but I feel wary about giving it to regular guardsmen. ^^
If you sit with still with the squad have you thought about dropping the PHS to a storm bolter then using the extra to upgrade the flamer to a grenade? or is there method to your madness?
Generally since most of the Anti-tank fire is aimed at the Russ, my Armored Fist squad sits in the Chimera and fires the heavy bolter out the top. Then, then it looks like my opponent is getting close enough to threaten rapid fire/assault, The Chimera rushes ahead and drops the squad about 7-8 inches from my main lines. My opponents either have to assault the Armored Fist squad (who, incidentally, never seems to be very inspired by my HIJO ) and usually end up ripping it to pieces, yet then my whole line gets a round of rapid fire doom (Average something like 30 Lasgun shots. )
The flamer is there in the case where my opponent either misjudged distances and I get a flamey doom round, or if my opponent decides to jump OVER my troops (seen it happen), in which case, I get to flame them from behind. Or if they're foot sloggin' orks, I just burn 'em and die. xD
My armored fist squad usually doesn't last long, but almost always earns its points back thanks to the rapid-fire turn I often get.
