    [400] The Black Watch

    Based on my scenario paintball team, which was in turn inspired by the famous Scottish army regiment - this is following Combat Patrol rules. It's not meant to actually be based on anything Scottish, though.

    Opinions? The Vet. Sergeant status, Auspex, and Power Weapon in the Devestators squad was to fill in 27 extra points... any suggestions for those points welcome. :yes:

    Your list looks pretty solid. By the way nice job being a mod.
    You have your anti-tank and anti infantry so it looks like your all set.
    Only think is just hope you dont get intl close combat that won't look pretty.

    Well, I'm not too worried about close combat - if someone wants to rush my Devestators, then fine, I'll just shoot them until they reach me. I can cover my Tactical squad pretty easily with them, too. That, and my main opponents are Tau and Eldar..

    I'm just worried about those 27 points thrown into the Sergeant in the Devestator squad.. there's got to be somewhere else to put those points, but I can't think of it. For some reason I don't like that sergeant being equipped like that..

    hmm..Do you think you can get another guy in your squads.
    If so that will work really well.
    The commander ideal didnt look so good now that I looked at it again.

    I have points enough to buy a single Marine to put in either the Tactical squad or the Devestator squad - that would leave 9 points, with nowhere to spend them.

    One possibility is switch one heavy bolter for a plasma cannon.
    That will leave you with five extra Then you can do frag of karak gernades.

    I'd rather keep the squad(s) specialised, though. Adding a Plasma Cannon sort of ruins the uniformity of the squad, and I'd rather have those three extra shots, especially against my main two opponents - the lower AP of the Plasma Cannon won't do much, when the Heavy Bolter already ignores their armour saves.

    Ohhh Than that wouldnt be a good idea. Hmmm. that one is a stompper well this is a cool idea if you wanted to do this i assume your versing orks or nids or tau. But if versing orks or nids try getting some scouts in there with snipers.
    pinn them, then nail them with the bolters.

    How about adding a storm bolter and an Auspex to the sgt? He gets a few extra shots, hopefully, and maybe if enemy infiltrators deploy to close, you can pulp them before the game even starts.

    Those leftover points are just so you can always claim a moral victory!
