    Mantis Warriors - 1,850pts

Okay, these are the Traits I see them as having:
    Trust Your Battle-Brothers
    ( 8;= Before Dishonour
Also, with the fluff I've seen of them... I'm going to try and follow it.

    HQ
    The Praying Mantidae Command Squad.
    Chaplain Tolour 125pts
Bolter, Frags, Power weapon, Rosarius, T Hon, Artificer Armour.

    Frags, True Grit & Counter-attack. 385pts

    Returned Mantes Deathwatch Kill-team.
    Librarian Psycho Mantis 146pts
Force weapon, Bolter with Inferno Bolts, Iron Halo, Familiar, Fear of the Darkness.
    ------
Marine with Heavy Bolter and suspenders
    Marine with Plasma gun
2 Veterans with Bolter and Power weapon
1 Veteran with Bolter and Power fist
    3 Marines with Bolters.
    Inferno Bolts, Deepstrike. 427pts

    Elites
    Great Mantis Salif Venerable Dreadnaught
T-L Las, Missile, Tank Hunter, Extra Armour, Searchlight.

    Marine with Meltagun
    6 Marines with Bolters
    True Grit, Counter-attack. 179pts

    Fast attack
    Flying Mantes Assault sqaud.
Sergeant with T Hon, Powerfist, & Bolt pistol.
2 Marines with Plasma pistol & Chainsword
6 Marines with Bolt pistol & Chainsword
    True Grit, Counter-attack. 265pts

    Total = 1,850pts.

The Tranquility Snipers will do their thing from cover, delivering pinning fire until the Deathwatch kill-team gets in. The Rhino filled with the Praying Mantidae and the Flying Mantes will make the 2nd wave, with 2 dangerous CQC squads. Then the Dreadnaught will arrive with the Tactical squads and make up the 3rd wave, which will pretty much perform mop-up duty.

Very nice. Expensive, but nice. Round out this squad with a second special weapon.

    Deathwatch Kill-team.

Yeah, Deathwatch, very nice, only I'd switch the plasma gun to a heavy bolter, and switch the veterans to have the Inferno Bolts. They'll be ten times more effective with the special ammo. And cheaper.

    Perfect.

These are very good, you understand the thing that most Marine players need to learn. Snipers do best in large groups, more likely to wound and cause pinning.

These are good in of themselves, but I suggest a transport for them or a vehicle screen, just so they have extra protection.

    Fast attack
    Flying Mantes Assault sqaud.
Sergeant with T Hon, Powerfist, & Bolt pistol.
2 Marines with Plasma pistol & Chainsword
6 Marines with Bolt pistol & Chainsword

    Perfect.

    Total = 1,850pts.

Very good list indeed. Just needs to be tweaked a bit.

Can you field a Deathwatch Kill team in a trait army? I was under the impression it was available for vanilla marines only (I'd love to be wrong though ;^)

It's in the UK GW site. Look under Marines.
It clearly says ANY MARINE FORCE may use them as an HQ choice.

Yes, because the army is chosen from the SM codex. So therefore the Deathwatch is legal here.

    And YOU!!!
    :shifty:

The vehicle screen for the tacs is the Venerable Dread.

The DWK-T is very close to the Mantis way of fighting as is. The Chapter gave MANY marines to the Deathwatch... It's only natural they'd have enough Marines returning to make a full squad when back with the Mantes. It 'counts as' a Deathwatch Kill-team but is, in fact, Mantis Warriors.

I'd give the Praying Mantidae a 2nd special weapon, but I can't find where to take the 10pts from...

Trust me, take out all those veterans from the Deathwatch team. Give them the Inferno Bolts. They are by far very much worth it. I made a squad of 8 Bloodletters go *POOF!* with the Infernos, very, very nice.

If you give the commander a bolter in the deathwing, he can take the special bolts too.:shifty:
