Welcome to Librarium Online!
I think this kind of list may surprise DH opponent... Here is my idea :
HQ : BC
T1 : 5GK vanilla
T2 : 5GK vanilla
E1 : Inq + LR
E2 : Inq + LR
HS1 : LRC
HS2 : LRC
HS3 : LRC
There ~320pts left for lets say 1 FAGK unit / more body for T1&2/ a retinue. How do you think this list would behave?
Those elite Inqs are required to have retinues to buy any kind of transport.
Honestly? It's ridiculous. If you aren't kitted out to fight it, you will lose. If you are kitted out to fight it, this list will lose. It's one of those ideas that sounds interesting & unique on paper, but isn't worth ever making. Try proxying this list for a few games and you'll see.
Not counting the missing (but required) retinues, you have 18 "wounds" in this list. Thats right, never forget that a LR/LRC needs only one shot to kill it.

It would suck fairly hard. You don't have enough killing power, and unless you picked off all of the anti-armor (unlikely in a 2k point game) they would be having a field day. Imo.
Though unnumbered lurking perils await us, our blades will ever be ready.
FOR WE ARE THE EMPEROR'S VENGEANCE!
If we're going to try to maintain this idea, let's mess it up a bit:
Remove two LRCs and an inquisitor. You have over a third of your points in 3 vehicles... Let's try something else.
Sack two LRCs and PLEASE sack an inquisitor to get some teleporting grey knights, maybe a terminator squad and some mobile stormtroopers. Honestly, this list is a GK attempt at an IG idea, and I assure you, the IG do it better.
EDIT: If the enemy's anti-tank is another tank, the lascannons do fine. If the enemy has even a single unit that has infantry with long-range anti-tank weaponry, your looking at grim possibilities. Consider also throwing in a callidus assassin to keep at least one of those anti-tank squads busy, and some teleporting grey knights to keep the others busy as well.
Another EDIT: I don't play Daemonhunters. I'm just listing how I'd blow that list apart and what I wouldn't have such an easy time with.

Every whisper of the future from the Warp speaks of a hundred battles lost, a thousand lives devoured and a million enemies born. -- Inquisitor Lord Babel
It the numerous threads wich stat that LR/LRC are useless, that make me think of this list as a way to use them...
1 is dead meat but 5 + 2* 8PAGK + 8FAGK?
i tought the reinue for elite inquisitor is 0-6... anyway...

They aren't *useless*, but they also aren't a replacement for infantry.Originally Posted by ZeRilTrollYou'll have what, 4 lascannons, some assault cannon shots, and some multi-melta shots. He'll have 50+ infantry, many with anti-tank weapons. Even assuming that most of your guns hit (once the shorter ranged ones are in range), you've got a lot to chew through before you can kill his anti-tank weaponry.1 is dead meat but 5?Yes, it is. But to buy a transport, as I said, you're required to have a retinue. Check the wording: "an Inquisitor with a retinue may buy a..."i tought the reinue for elite inquisitor is 0-6... anyway...
EDIT: Look at it from the opposite perspective. If you were playing against an army with 5 LR/LRCs, and minimal infantry support, how would you take it out? Pack in the bodies and pack in the heavy weapons. Since most are squad upgrades, they'll be invisible until the enemy vehicles take out the whole squad. We have units that have S6 in melee. Seraphim can carry meltabombs. Stormtroopers can take short-ranged tank poppers. We can induct IG Platoons with FIVE heavy weapons each, and 45 bodies to shield them - for really not that much! And thats just using a DH army! Guard, Necrons, and Tau all chew up enemy armor. Eldar and DE have their lances, which pretty much screw over any high AVs. There are plenty of ways to counter a high-vehicle list!

in my dex (not in english...) its :
"an inquisitor and his retinue, if they are 10 or less (1 is less no?) might buy..."
anyway it was just an idea...
Typing word for word, directly out of mine (the English one):Originally Posted by ZeRilTroll

Tanks for the precision... just a shame GW don't pay more attention to the translation of their stuff!
To came back to the topic none of you guy see a way of using so many tank?
... sob, i though it could be fun!
See, if each of those tanks was filled to the brim with troops to be delivered into the fray, then you'd be better off. Maybe 2-3 LR/LRCs can be done, as long as the rest of your points are put into PAGK units to ride them and IST/IG to provide covering fire. Something like that.
Honestly, building such a specialized army in 40K leads to crushing defeats and boring victories, depending if your foe had time to adjust. Balanced forces, though, will almost always do better.
