    2000 Grey Knights, competative

    HQ:
    Grandmaster
    Emperors tarot, halocaust
    Terminator bodyguards (4)
    Psycannon (2)

    Troops:
Grey Knights (6) and a justicar
    Psycannon (2)

Grey Knights (6) and a justicar
    Psycannon (2)

    Fast Attack:
    Grey Knights (9) and justicar
    Grey Knights (9) and justicar
    Grey Knights (9) and justicar

    Heavy Support:
    Dreadnought with plasma cannon

Dreadnought with twin-linked lascannon and missle launcher

    Total: 1999

I know its not the best of idea's to give the terminatos anything extra due to their high point cost, but other than that is their anything else that can be suggested to make this list any better? Just rememeber that the list is to stay pure grey knights, so no inducted troops, allies, or inquisition.

Also, should any of the FAGK be swapped back to troop ones instead?

Might as well keep them FA, you can field them normally if you want. I think that lack of anti-tack will be your downfall here. I'd give the GM a psycannon instead, he's got higher BS. And 1 last thing, it's spelt guard mate. Hope it helps.

I would suggest, if being pure grey knight, 3 TLLC/ML dreads.

    Grandmaster
    Emperors tarot, halocaust
    Terminator bodyguards (4)
    Psycannon (2)
Emperor's tarot is generally not worth it, there's just about the same chance of going first as without it. Also, you can't have 2 psycannons in the termie squad but you can give 1 of them to your GM as Forgotten Flashlight said and benefit from the additional BS.

Grey Knights (6) and a justicar
    Psycannon (2)
You can actually drop these guys to just 4 plus the Justicar and psycannons, the squad should be far enough away that the storm bolters are out of range and the extra wounds wouldn't matter.

I would switch the plasma cannon dread with a tllc/ml combo to help alleviate the need for anti-armor. You'll still have problems, especially at such a high points game, but it will help. The problems shouldn't be overwhelming because of the psycannon squads.

    Hope this helps.

I'd drop the seven man squads to five, but I disdain min-maxing units.

Right now, if I alter the plasma dread to a hellfire dread than I would need to find some place to get the points; and without dropping down the squad sizes I won't have the spare points (though dropping the tarot comes close.)

    Pretty solid list, Darkreever.

I assume the 2nd psycannon is for the GM, which is always a good thing if you can afford it. However, I would never take holocaust on terminators! Especially not on the GM. There's a not-insignificant chance that he'll fail the psychic test and then die from Perils of the Warp. He's too awesome and too heavy a points investment to sacrifice on the altar of fickle dice gods.

Also, Emperor's Tarot is a very cool-sounding but generally useless piece of wargear. Buying melta-bombs and frag grenades on your PAGKs is a better investment every time than the ET.

These are nice. If you're looking to scrounge points, you can drop up to two GKs from each squad and not affect these squads' effectiveness as light firebases.

With a list full of grey knights and psycannons, there is almost no need for a dreadnought with a plasma cannon. You should make that dread a TLLC/ML dread like the other one. What your list is lacking in most is long-range heavy firepower. However, if you still want some anti-armor ability and another assault unit, then kit it out with an assault cannon instead. Not quite as effective as a TLLC, but it can work in a pinch.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

To come back on the emperor tarot : in my dex it's "inq/inq lord only" anyway.
And if you take a dread with plasma canon for anti-infantery purpose, try to add him a missile launcher : 2 templates on a single unit work well according to my small experience ^^!
