i was thinking about making a dreadnought heavy marine list so i made one, it uses scions of mars, heed the wisdom of the ancients and eye to eye.
Servo harness, power weapon, terminator honors, artificer armor, jump pack.
Assault cannon, extra armor, smoke launchers.
Assault cannon, extra armour, smoke launchers
Missile launcher, twin linked lascannon, extra armor, smoke launchers, tank hunter.
Space marine tactical squad
Space marine tactical squad
Terminator honors for sergeant
total points: 1095
my tech is with the jump squad (he can have 8 attacks on the charge if the FAQ means the twin linked plasma pistols gives him another attack alongside his bolt pistol, i mean, it is another arm) and will assault anthing nasty, while my dreads shoot and assault. my marines are really just a meatshield for the rest, im thinking of lowering their numbers and throwing in a second techy. please give constructive criticism, explain what you do and don't like and how i can improve on it, as its just a quick list so far.
EDIT: removed dread from heavy support and moved it into elites, dropped 1 assalt marine to make up for venerable upgrade.
Removed bolt pistol from techy.

somewhat similar to the list i currently run (just not the techmarine part.). i would suggest you make all your dreads venerable, becuase it really helps them survive (by the way you are alowed to make the hv support dread venerable). i'm not sure how effective the tech marine will be, but if you really want a tech marine lord dude then i say keep it. by the way, the marines are fine as they are, dont drop any of them.
I have absolutely no idea why the dread isnt in elites, i think it was from when i had 4 dreads before i dropped 1, ill edit it now to fix it up.
Hey nice list but... Why does your tech marine have a jump pack? And he is not 151 points, he is 100 without bp. why did you give him a bp he is betteroff with the bolt pistol and its free, you already get that extra attack from the plasma cutter.from the bolter u get 1 shot 24 inch range if u dont move and a 12 inch 2 shots if u move or dont move, bp range is always 12. youre better off with the bolter.

Thanks Tim, i forgot about the plasma cutter. He is wearing a jump pack to go with the assault squad to quickly kill off all the nasty things, i play against nids (fex and tyrant heavy), dark eldar (nasty HQ) and eldar (his dark reapers and warp spyders are nasty untill confronted by assault marines) so he's my sort of "dragon slayer" type guy.
I dont think the tech marine can have the servo harness and the jump pack at the same time, and why is he still 150? where does he get the extra 50 points? a jump pakc only cost points.
There arent any rules saying he can't wear a servo harness, it says he can choose any wargear as a normal charecter and it doesn't say he cant on the servo harness or jump pack rules or in the space marines FAQ. it may seem illogical but you could easily fit a jump pack on some part of the servo harness when you think about it (and if you say that it would still be to heavy, i could easily fit 2 jump packs on him).
the 150 points is: base techy:65+scion of mars (trait):15+servo harness:35+terminator honours:15+jump pack=150 points.
