    Good idea. The issue for me is that there's too much of one army in it, namely your ally. If you want IG allies and want to spend that many points, there's more useful ways to do it.

    1 platoon of IG
    1 AF squad with chimera

    2 to 3 sentinels with long range heavy weapon (Las or AC)

    leman russ.

    That's around 750 points or so, assuming 2 squads in the platoon, and you have better supplemental capability for your GK's.

    I've had tons of success with IST's. I'd suggest running at least 2 squads in this list.

    My preferred setup for 480 points is

    4 ten man squads of IST's
    2 squads with dual plasma
    1 squad with dual melta
    1 squad with dual grenade launchers.

    That's tons of bodies and tons of special weapons.

    Just a few ideas for you. Generally speaking, I think you've nailed the force composition of your GK"S satisfactorily -- but make them max sized squads -- but overal the composition and synergy in the army isn't optimal.

    Lastly, shooty inquisitors are great. with a mystic in the unit, they can detect teleporting/deepstriking squads and shoot at them in the enemy movement phase upon their arrival. Very cost-effective and a nice counter to alot of the enemy's nasty stuff. SOmething to think about.

    Just a hint, drop every vox caster and get more anti tank. A lot more.

    looking at this list made me think of screening the gard with graynights and use the shrouding. would that even work?

    command squads aren't very good, so why not drop 1 command squad and make it 2 platoons instead? If you dropped your last command squad and shaved a few more points from elsewhere you might have enough for a leman russ

    Nice list. You're giving me quite a few ideas regarding how to bring in Guard (a opposed to just my puny 25 man platoon with PG/LC LOL).

    I think your Leman Russ is 160 points, unless you have improved comms. Your PG/LC/Vox squads are 100 points each. To save points, I just keep the line squads within 12" of the Platoon HQ so they can use the Platoon HQ's LD. More points saved that way.

    You've definitely got your anti-armor bases covered and have okay anti-MEq/dakka. Still seems a bit light on dakka, though. What I'm referring to is mid-strength 36" high ROF stuff, like HB and psy cannons. The storm bolters are great, and mass lasguns are useful. But a few HB teams (=I= retinue or psycannon on your termies) would go very far in killing light armor and swarm bases and such.

    Just wanted to present this idea to you b/c my last 2 games with my Dh have been against nids. =) Tons of dakka i definitely had.

    Good list. My comments are pretty minor b/c mass GL/las guns/autocannons will do pretty well against hordes.

    Re edited. Thank you very much for your helpful comments OverchargeThis!. I think that between the SBs, Lasguns, Autocannons, GLs, and the battle cannon/HBs on the russ, i should have enough Anti-Hord. Again thank you.
