    1850 Helbrecht List

    Hey Everybody.

I've been trying to find a way to develop a BT infantry list without the heavy use of Chaplains like I've been doing so far. The newest White Dwarf gave me the idea of using High Marshall Helbrecht as the sole HQ (not including the EC), and giving him a command squad of 15 men. This allows me to place him and his deadly unit more towards the end of the deployment phase, while having a unit that is simply deadly on the charge when coupling furious charge with the EC's vow.

Do you think the list will work effectively? It seems like there are a bunch of points tied up into one unit (albeit a deadly unit), but it doesn't seem like I have a lot of models (I'm used to 70+ infantry models) with BT, but it might work. Does anything seem lacking in the list? Any and all criticism is welcomed, and please be harsh as it is an experimental list.

    HQ
    High Marshall Helbrecht - 175
    Command Squad - 325 (10 Initiates, 5 Neophytes, 2 Meltaguns, 1 Sergeant w/TH & PF, 1 Company Champion w/PW, all with furious charge)

Emperor's Champion - 140 (Accept any Challenge, No Matter the Odds [Preffered Enemy])

I dont really know to much about this guy, but it seems desent, but its hard to beat a chaplain.

With a chaplain your guys would hit 89% of the time, with this guy they will hit 66% of the time.

If your going to drop pod, i would drop pod all out. If you just deploy them, youll have 2 ACs from turn one, probably in range, considering that youll be able to strick up to 30" from where you start.
    Crusader Squad - 235 (10 Initiates, 5 Neophytes, 1 MG, 1 PF)

    Seems decent.

Im definatly not a fan of these, i would trade these for 3 LST with ACs. Just about as good AT, with much better anti infantry.
Vindicator - 163 (PoMS, EA, SL)
Not a big fan of these either, might trade it for two WWs, or more troops.

If you keep the vindi, then keep the preds, as youll need the preds to pull fire power off the vindi.

    Peace
