    2000pts duo tournament List

    Batlle Brothers,

    I am preparing for a Dutch 2000 pts duo tournament. Each player has to bring 1000 points. I thought it would be nice to combine DH and DA for this tournament. We will play three missions at the tournament. cleanse/ recon/ secure and control. I do not know what kind of armies to face, so it have to face all comers. Please let me know how you think I can finetune my lists.

    Daemonhunters Army 1000 pts

    You aren´t by chance playing the tournament in Maastricht:shifty:

    I would leave the Devestator squad because 4 Missile guys and an sergeant are just to easy to kill and that would be a waste of 155pt a predator ar dreadnought are probably a better choice.

    I would leave the Plasma Pistols on the Assault marines and keep the bolt pistols because you probably don´t use them much and there is always a chance that you fry one of your own marines, but then they are Dark Angels

    As for the grey Knights there is not much you can tune there because they are already good, the only thing i would try is to add a Psycannon or two if you manage to squeeze them in.

    This is my 2 cent, and maybe ill see u on the other side of the table soon

    Thank you for your reply. Yes ? will be in Maastricht, so see you then!

    I have chosen the devastators insteed of the normally used predator but in this case I have plenty of troops so our opponents have to chose, rather than popping up my predator with one lucky missile launcher shot from a scout (aj)

    for the plasma pistol, hey they are Da yes, and for 5 point each, I can kill two termies before a charge. How do you suggest put the 10 ponits elsewhere?

    Mayby I can use one troop of pagk with a pair of psycannons, good point.


    Other suggestions?

    I dont play DH so i'll just bo commenting on the DA list.

    I think it's very solid, tho IMO switching another tac squad to lascan would be more effective - but then they ARE DA right =D? Keep it if you like the fluff!

    As to the Dev squad problem - my solution would be to dump it down to 3 MLs but give it another body. 3MLs with 6 marines fit the general shielding rule of one body to one gun.

    I like the two PP's in the assualt squad myself. Yeah, there is the chance of frying yourself, but they pay off in gold as well. My last game, my Assault squad blasted a wave serpant with Starcannons to death with their plasma pistols. They've eaten HQ's up, and have all in all earned much more then what they are worth point wise.

    Good move on taking the Tac squad out for the other dev. Giving him two squads to pick from makes the choice that much harder, and those 2 extra missile will do more then the 1 las cannon.

    For 1000pts, I think you've got a pretty solid list for the DA.

    According the DA fact, you may combine DAs with Greyknights.

    I suggest switching to trait marines, with shooty upgrades.

    I think for a shooty marine army you can't be better of with DA. Of course you could give devastators infiltrate, tankhunter and/or maken them elites for example, but that doesn't come for free. DA standard have intractable which makes sure they stay on the table when they lose a few man, which is most important when making profit of long range troops.
