Hi there, I'm painting my first army (oii!) and I'm looking for some tactical advice so I won't get blown to pieces. He he.
It's a little hard to get a decent army on just 600 pts, and in the future I'm planning to induct IG or SM - havn't decided which one yet. I like IG best fluffwise. We'll see.
I'm aware I lack the meat, is it crazy? Too many daemonhosts?

probably too heavy on elites and HQ. Those are all expensive units.
In 600, maybe 1 daemon host, 2 death cultists or 1 eversor, and an inquisitor. I like the build with your inquisitor. Wouldn't change anything there. Actually, take a mystic instead of a familiar so you can hit deep striking units nearby when they arrive in their turn. Same points as a familiar.
The inquisitor will be satisfactory for horde killing. For your IST's, I'd bump them up significantly. PG should probably be your primary choice there. 8 man squads are probably best.
With the 170 points save bydropping 2 daemon hosts, I'd bring your 2 existing squads up to 8, for 60 points total. Add another for 100. And I think I'd put dual PG in all of them. GL arepretty good. I've used them before. But your psycannon throws the equivalent of 3 krak grenades a turn at longer range, so it's redundant in a list of such small size.
If you go with eversor, your anti-tank will be covered. that assassin is pretty incredible. You should expect a little armor, as in a dread, or defiler, or something like that. If you opt for the deathcultists instead, then I'd make my third squad of IST's a MG team with dual MG's.
For allies, guard are fantastic. In 1200, I usually take a 25 man platoon with PG/MG in the HQ and 2 line squads, for about 235 points. That's roughtly the equivalent of 2 full IST squads, and it will cover long range anti-tank and saturation fire quite well. guard will likely perform the best if you're planning on bringing in grey knights. For radical, probably marines b/c yo uwill lack an appreciable cc ability. Most who take radical DH ally them to a base SM army.
Good luck and have fun. DH are fun to model and play if you use the options in the entire codex.

WAY too many points invested in fragile, random, non-scoring units. You need to offset any points spent on your Elites with solid investments in troops. For your HQ, I actually wouldn't go any more expensive than the I-lord with psycannon and auspex, 2 HB servitors and 2 sages.
I would then decide if I wanted either a single Daemonhost, 2 DCAs, or an eversor or callidus assassin. (Truth to be told, with only 600 pts at my disposal, I wouldn't take any of them. But those Elites are one of the only reasons to even go radical, so I can understand wanting to have them in there, even in a list this small. Just limit your expenditure so that the rest of your list doesn't suffer. Think of those elites as spice, not meat.)
Finally, troops. You need two solid squads of ISTs. I'd want at least one squad with 10 models, 2x plasma, and a Chimera. A 2nd one just like that would also be good, but if you wanted to have a melta squad mounted in a Rhino instead, that'd be fine.
You can actually afford to take a squad of inductees, either IG or SM, at this points level, especially if you forgoe any elites. The choice should depend on what you want to accomplish. IG will provide you with lots of bodies, plentiful heavy and special weapons, and eventual access to a Leman Russ, one of the game's best tanks. SMs can get you a decent amount of special and heavy weapons, some good armour, but primarily, I'd use them as GK replacements: offensive/assaulty units. If you just want shooting prowess, stick with IG.
Of course, there's also allied sisters of battle from the Witch Hunters....
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
