Yeah, yeah, I know it's a lot of RG lists... last one for a while.
I wanted to get two of the three main elements of an RG army into my patrol - Assault Squads, and Scouts. I then wanted to have that Assault Squad to have the signature Furious Charge... so it only leaves me with so many points. Here goes:
6 Scouts with 5 Bolters; 1 Missile Launcher
7 Assault Marines with Furious Charge
1 Assault Marine Sergeant with Terminator Honours; Power Fist; Furious Charge
1 Land Speeder Tornado with Assault Cannon; Heavy Bolter
Total Points: 398
Total Models: 15
Thoughts? Main enemies will be Tau, Eldar, and an occasional Tyranid or Marine player.
I think u need an HQ because i think your list is illegal
You could buy a second 6-man team of Scouts (maybe pure cc guys) for the 80 pts, and slap on a couple Hvy Bolters if you ditch the Missile Launcher from the first squad... so it's not like you must go LST, IMO.
Of course, you have no Plasma on the Assault guys, so it's not like you have a lot of stuff to punch through even the weak armor values in CP. I'd probably only take the LST if your enemy is fond of using vehicles at all in their CP lists.
Nice list... Just that i notice that all the meat is in the assault squad, once thats gone your aobut half your army? Just might wanan give it a comabt shield also just incase. Usually when i play CP the main weapons are bolters, and powerweapons.
Damn you corn man!! ( Shakes Fist ) Beat me to it =(
Second reason - Crisis Battlesuits, Devilfish APCs, and Guardian swarms. With the right deployment, say goodbye to the first two, and put some hurting on the third. I don't like Crisis Suits, especially when they're the units most capable of taking out my LST at a distance, and with Plasma, most capable of taking down Assault Marines.
