    Upgrade your commander a little by giving him a jump pack and better armor. Change the HB in your line squads to PC, to match your PGs. Other than that, good.

    Not a horrible list, but a lot of things that need improvement.

    This guy is good that he is so inexpensive, but he will do very little for your army, other then the leadership bonus. I would switch him for a Chaplain with jump pack and attach him to your assault squad. Don't forget Terminator Honors.

    This is a waste of points. In a 1000 point game, and certainly with your other units you don't need a lascannon, let alone one with Tank Hunter. I would scrap this unit entirely.

    This is also a waste. You are either wasting 3 marines, or a Heavy Bolter. A squad should be given 1 job, and one job only. Is this squad going to stand and shoot the Heavy bolter or move and shoot the plasma gun? If your going to move, you can't fire the Heavy Bolter, so get rid of it. If your going to stand and shoot the Heavy Bolter you don't need so many men.

    No problems with this squad at all, however it moves awfully slow to get into CC, so it's going to be way behind your bikes and assault troops.

    For the love of all things holy, get rid of the Melta Bombs. How much tank busting do you need in one unit? If 2 meltaguns and a Multi Melta won't kill that tank, then you did something wrong, or got extremely unlucky.

    Again, get rid of the melta bombs. You want these guys assaulting troops, not tanks.

    No problems, Whirlwinds are decent in any list.

    So there is a unit by unit rundown. Now lets take a look at the list as a whole. You need to really rethink the way this is put together. Your units really don't work well together, or complement each other very well at all. You have a unit that moves 24" and is shooty, you have a unit that moves 12" and assaults, and a unit that moves 6" and assaults.

    Also I'm not sure what type of 1000 point lists you normally face, but you have a ton of anti-tank for 1000 points.

    thanks guys for the help so far

    the vets have 1 lascannon with tank hunters and the bikers are well kitted out for hunting tanks , I didnt realy think it was that much anti tank. Ok good point on the melta bombs though it is a bit of a over kill on the bikes and the assault squad.

    It has Bolters, rapid firing guns, and a melta gun. Why the hell would the unit be charging into CC?
    I would actually be a lot more positive about this list than Sinjin. All I'd say is;
    HQ: change in favour of a model with a jump pack(chaplain?)
    A lot of units: strip melta bombs from all models.
    Heavy Support: Unlike the both of you, I personally dislike Whirlwinds(shelling the enemy from behind a hill doesn't seem very glorious and honourable to me), but that's just my opinion. What armies do you normally play against?
    In the darkness, look to the blind to show the way
