Hi! This is my last stop saloon before I embark frantic purchasing!
Taking comments from my previous thread (over in the the witch hunter forum) And looking at comments on other peoples armies, I have come up with the following 1k Point Starter Army.
I like the look of it, however if there are MAJOR flaws, please do speak up!
HQ (125 Pts)
Cannoness Victoria Silkwood
Mantle of Ophelia
Cloak St. Aspira
Troops (410 Pts)
Fast Attack (159)
2 Twin Flamer
Heavy Support (140)
5 Faith Points
32 Ground Troops/4 Vehicles
i would say that it looks fine, though if you have to get it below 1000 points, i would take the extr armour off the exorcist. If i were to change it at all, i would drop 2-4 ISTs and get a few more seraphim, as they are very good.
Overall, it looks good, just a few tweaks....
1.) The mantle of ophelia: i'ld drop it, i dont like it as its 15pts and can only be used once. plus if she has an eviscerator, she should be IC hunting, and IC's generally dont carry power fists.
2.) You don't really need 10 storm troopers for dual plasma guns, i'ld drop 2-4 of them.
3.) The seraphim will be a big fire magnet so try to get a few more in there...
What i'ld do: Drop 3 storm troopers and the mantle of ophelia, and instead get 2 more seraphim.
Otherwise, it looks great!

With regards to my Cannoness, whats the best way to utilise her? And what are her limits enemy wise (i.e what sorts of squads will she be able to wreak havoc with, and which ones will school her)
as the cannoness is only WS4 and has a likely 3 attacks with a blessed weapon, it can takle her a while to chew through large squads, even of guardsmen. Even with her 2+ save, she is in danger of being over wheelmed, so you have to be careful. She functions best if she goes round near to, but not with, the seraphim. Then they all attack at once, but the seraphim hit-and-run outta there and attack again or something else.
Also, as said keeping her behind a squad of seraphim is great, as it can really boost their potential in cc. But DO NOT attach her to the seraphim, since the seraphim will loose hit and run if she does that.
